My Spiral Mission: Protector of the Lore [Chapter 19]

Lord Raidon

“Where are they!?” Angel growled. Sophia and Angel took a while in getting there because they had to stop by RettSej’s office and Aivil insisted on them staying the night just to be safe. He left Sophia with RettSej and took off to the Twi-star observatory early in the morning to catch up with Matt and Jeremy. He knew that Matt and Jeremy were going to Zafaria today since he was the one who set up the mission, but he didn’t know Alric would leave this early. Today was Matt’s and Jeremy’s 16th birthday which means that they will be granted full Hatake powers at noon.

“Angel calm down. They’ll be alright,” Autumn reassured, while Angel started pacing around the room.

“How do you know?” He asked.

“They have Alric there. Plus, they’ll be Hatakes. I don’t think someone would be stupid enough to attack the two of them,” she explained.

“Still doesn’t calm my nerves now that I know someone or something is after the Hatakes. Maybe I should just pop in during their mission to see if they’re alright,” Angel said as he grabbed his packpack and a wand.

“Angel, you’ve got to learn to let them handle things. How are they going to learn about what it takes to be a Hatake if you keep babying them and holding their hand through everything?” Cassandra Dragonheart chimed in. Angel slowly put down and his bag and stared at the ground thinking how he has treated them about the whole thing. Heck, even Jeremy doesn’t know that he is the Life Hatake. How will he explain that to him?

“I guess you’re right…” Angel sighed.

“Good. Now let’s get you some popcorn and maybe some ugly muffins?” Hexythorn suggested.

“Yeah, I’d like that,” Angel nodded and grinned.

The trio stepped into the Spiral door and into Baobab Crossroads when they were greeted by an old zebra that had blue and red feathers sticking out of his hair and his staff.

“Jambo, wizards. Welcome to Zafaria!” The zebra guy signaled them to follow him down the ramp and to the front of his hut.

“Well, I see that things haven’t changed here since the attacks,” Alric noticed.

“Yes, we pushed back the shadow creatures to another part of Zafaria.  My name is Kweku Morningshine, and I shall be your guide,” Kweku greeted.

“Shadow creatures?” Jeremy questioned.

“Yes, evil creatures with glowing red eyes.  They bring fear even to the strongest of lions,” Kweku shuddered.

“I don’t think it’s good to listen to any more of this. We’d like to speak with The Council of Zafaria about our boat ride to the Drum Jungle,” Alric stated to Kweku.

“Oh… I don’t know about going to the Drum Jungle now. It’s infested with the shadow creatures,” Kweku informed.

“I’d like to speak with them anyway.”

“Very well then, follow me,” Kweku told the group and they headed up the Baobab tree to Baobab Crown. It was packed filled with all the different types of the inhabitants of Zafaria.
Jeremy was looking at each of the species he hasn’t seen before, “Lions, gorillas, zebras..”

“Oh my,” Matt joked. The group walked into the mess of civilians which were arguing with each other about the current state of their home world. They reached four thrones surrounded by a giant bon fire.

“What do we have here? Wizards?” said a lion that was sitting on of the thrones. The crowd went silent while they looked towards the trio. Alric cleared his throat and spoke.

“We’ve been sent on a mission to retrieve a rare herb from the Drum Jungle and would like a boat ride as soon as possible.” The Olyphant that was sitting on the throne started laughing and sat up straight.

“You must be insane if you think you can go to the Drum Jungle. Right now that’s where we are keeping the shadow creatures at bay. No one in the right mind would want to take you there,” the olyphant narrowed his eyes towards Matt and Jeremy who were looking around at all the animals watching them. Alric direct the Olyphant’s attention back to him by throwing a note Angel gave him just in case.

“Look, just give me a boat and I’ll drive it myself,” Alric asserted. He saw how the olyphant’s eyes went wide as he read the note and he closed it in his lap and thought the request over.

“Very well, give these wizards a boat immediately!” They heard whispers in the background and then they subsided.

“Thank you,” Alric turned around and instructed Matt and Jeremy to follow him out of Baobab Crown. They traveled to Baobab market and stood where the docks and several boats were stationed.

“Which one is ours?” Jeremy asked.

“We’ll find out soon,” Alric answered just when a lion not much older than Jeremy ran towards them. He had white face paint and his tail was covered in a blue ribbon.

“Wizards, I shall be your river guide. My name is Hafsa,” Hasfa greeted the trio.

“They sent a young cub?” Alric questioned.

“No, I am full lion now. My father is on the council of Zafaria and he trusts me to take you to Drum Jungle,” Hafsa told Alric. Alric nodded and they boarded a small boat and started heading on their way to the Drum Jungle which they knew would take a few hours. By the middle of their trip both Jeremy and Matt were getting restless and tired. Matt was hanging his head on the side of the boat looking at the water and the scenery of Zafaria when something caught his eye. In the distance next a couple of trees grew a shadowy figure and the energy dissipated to reveal person wearing black robes and a glowing hand in the shape of a sword.

“No, not yet,” Matt whispered as if the person wearing the black robes could hear him. He felt a hand on his shoulder and quickly whipped his head around.

“Hey Matt, are you ok? Who are you talking to?” Jeremy asked. Matt looked back at the trees to find nothing there. Jeremy looked where Matt was, but he couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary either.

“Yeah… I’m fine. I’m just bored,” Matt stood up and walked to the inside cabin of the boat while Hafsa was eyeing him while he was steering. Inside the cabin Alric was inspecting a map and the box that Dr. Austin Kingsisle gave him.

“What’s that?” Matt asked. Alric quickly closed the box and placed it next to him.

“Top secret,” Alric answered. “Hey, are you hungry? It’s going to take another hour to get there.”

“Sure! I’d love something to eat!” Jeremy chimed in while coming in and sitting down across from Alric.

“Um, ok..” Mat sat down next to Jeremy as Alric took out his wand and waved it over the table and there appeared a whole feast. Alric invited Hafsa in and the group at their breakfast and now they were nearing the end of their boat ride. They landed near some huts and Matt and Jeremy went outside the cabin and were waiting for Alric. Hafsa stood and had a few questions to ask Alric.

“Wizard, about the boys,” He began.

“Yes, they are what you think they are,” Alric answered.

“I’m wondering about the one called Matt, he is..”

“Yes, I know. Your judgment isn’t far off from the truth,” with that Alric stepped out of the cabin and jumped off the boat along with Matt and Jeremy. “Thank you Hafsa. I hope you have a safe journey back.” Hafsa waved goodbye as his boat left the dock. The trio continued into the now ruined, abandoned village.

“Well this isn’t creepy at all,” Jeremy commented. Matt and Alric looked at him and chuckled. Alric came by next to Jeremy and patted him on the back.

“Right. Well, I guess we should split up to look for this flower,” Alric told the two boys. “Matt and Jeremy I want you to look to the right of here while I look to the left and I want us to regroup here in about an hour from now, got it?” The two boys nodded and headed in the direction they were told to go. They were walking for what seemed like forever.

“Do you even know what this flower looks like?” Matt asked aggravated.

“Sort of, it’s like white kind of and it’s really pretty, and stuff,” Jeremy tried to answer. “Shouldn’t we be heading back?”

“Nah we still got time. Plus I heard there was an ancient tomb around here.”

“Tomb? Whose tomb?” Jeremy asked.

“The Tomb of Lord Raidon. You know, the first creature created by Mother Rutena. Come on Jeremy you’re life you should know these things!”

“Uh, no thanks I think if we don’t get back soon Alric will be mad.”

“Come on, don’t be such a mander. You aren’t scared, are ya?”

“N-no, I just think we shouldn’t enter someone else’s tomb.”

“It’ll be cool though! Come on!” Jeremy followed otherwise and they walked until there was an opening next to a wall with a cave in it. “I think this is it,” Matt said. Jeremy looked at the giant hole in the rock wall. They stepped in and heard something from behind them. They turned around and saw shadow creatures coming from the bushes and trees. Matt acted quickly and knelt on one knee and placed his hand on the ground creating an ice wall protecting them from the creatures. The shadows started blasting away at the ice wall and hitting the stone wall surrounding the cave which caused it to rumble.

“Uh, M-Matt,” Jeremy said as the rumble grew louder and rocks then boulders started to fall. Soon enough they didn’t need the ice wall to protect them anymore as there were boulders blocking the exit and very dusty wizards sitting on the floor. Suddenly torches started getting lit with a green flame that extended a few yards back. “What the heck.” Jeremy dusted himself off and looked back to Matt to check if he was ok, but instead of finding Matt he found another figure standing next to Matt. The figure looked like a person wearing a black robe and hood that covered his face and he had dark energy surrounding him. Matt got up, dusted himself off, and smirked at Jeremy.

“W-who are you?” Jeremy asked the scary looking person. In response the figure chuckled and reached for his hood.

“I’m surprised you haven’t figured it out yet, Jeremy. Well, not really you were always such a weakling,” The figure took off his hood to reveal black messy hair and piercing grey eyes and the familiar smug look that Jeremy hated.

“B-Blaze? Blaze Titanthorn? What are you doing here?” Jeremy asked now suddenly filled with anger.

“Well, you know enjoying the scenerym and watching my minions wreak havoc around the Spiral,” Blaze let out another chuckle at this.

“You!? You’re the one who’s been causing this whole mess?” Jeremy questioned.

“I didn’t do it alone, of course. I had dear old Matt here to help me get info on all of the Knights and Central city,” Blaze smirked.

“Matt? How could you?” Matt stayed silent as Jeremy was searching for any sign of an answer. When he was about to get an answer Matt was interrupted.

“Shut up,” Matt put his head down finding the floor more interesting. “Capture him so we can bring him with us,” Blaze ordered. Matt nodded and summoned ice cold energy around his hand and shot it at Jeremy. Jeremy winced, waiting for the ice energy to reach him but just as it was nearing him someone flashed in front of him and dissipated the energy.

“Professor?” Jeremy asked as Alric was surrounded in powerful energy with a glare directed towards Blaze and Matt.

“Ravensinger,” Blaze hissed and surrounded himself in Death energy which made him glow.

“Nice to meet you too,” Alric greeted.

“How did you get in here?” Matt questioned him.

“I placed one of Dr. Austin’s new inventions on Jeremy’s robe when we were at the village. It’s a mini teleporter and allows me to teleport to whoever has the mini portal on them. However, you can only teleport to them once every hour. I knew you were up to something Matt,” Alric answered. “Jeremy get out of here and let me handle this,” Alric didn’t leave room for protest as he threw Jeremy down the cave further and instructed him to run. Jeremy nodded and started running deeper into the tomb when he entered the main room. It would be an understatement to say that it was HUGE. The green flames were all around and vines were growing out of the walls and around the statues that were lined against the wall. At the center of the back wall was a huge bust of what looked like to be a giant Forest Lord. The horns were made of gold and the bust was made of a white stone. He neared the bust and rubbed off the dust of plate at the bottom of the bust “His greatest majesty and ruler of all forests, Lord Raidon. Son of her highness, Mother Rutena.”
Then more rumbling occurred and a bell could be heard throughout the entire tomb. The bell was ear splitting but the only ones who heard the bell was Matt and Jeremy who were both now on the floor covering their ears and rolling around trying to stop the loud noise.

“It looks like the transfer of power has begun,” Blaze let out an evil laugh and watched as Matt was suffering from the noise. You could the temperature in the room drop drastically and you could see your breath in the air as the bell noise stopped. Matt, who was breathing hard, trembling, and was attempting to get up. Then, he stood up straight and opened his eyes to reveal piercing light blue eyes that could chill you to the bone. They heard an animalistic growl coming from inside the tomb where Jeremy went and Alric tried to check on him but was stopped when an Ice wall went up blocking him.

“You’re not going anywhere,” Matt growled.

“It seems you are in a pickle, Mr. Ravensinger,” Blaze said with a smug look. “Did you really think you can beat a Hatake, let alone two?” Blaze and Matt stepped closer to the cornered balance wizard. “It’s the end for you.”

“I don’t think so,” Matt and Blaze turned around to find Angel Winterbreeze, Katherine Light, and Alura Hexcaster standing behind them.

“Grandpa…” Matt gasped. Angel didn’t react but continued to glare at both of them.

“Let’s go Matt,” Blaze ordered him.

“But-” Matt tried to protest but was grabbed and pulled into a vortex.

“We’ll meet again.” Blaze warned the group and the disappeared. While Katherine and Alura went to Alric, Angel went straight to the Ice wall and punched right through it and the ice shattered into hundreds of pieces.

“Guess you were right, Alric,” Angel said sadly. He continued to walk down into the tomb following the green glowing light and the animal growls deep into the tomb.

My Spiral Mission: Protector of the Lore [Chapter 18]

On With the Hunt

They heard footsteps coming through the rubble that was left of the arena after the intense battle that took place moments before. The wizards were tied up; all facing a different direction, and some were getting back from being unconscious. The hooded figure, wearing all black, approached the team and placed a hand on the rubble of one of the pillars that fell and started rubbing it and inspecting the damage. Dust looked up after getting tired of struggling and went wide-eyed.

“I sent you on a simple mission and this is what I get…” The hooded figure spoke.

“We’re sorry, they surprised us,” Dust said with his head hanging in shame.

“I see..”

“We didn’t know they brought reinforcements, and-” Kathyui defended herself.

“All I asked was to capture the Golden Phoenix’s daughter. Was that too much to ask for?” The figure said in a stern voice.

“Why do you only want the Fire Hatake? You knew the Knights had the Ice one too,” Kane questioned.

“Well, you do know that Angel’s grandson will be granted the Hatake powers very soon. I was hoping that the Knights would be stupid enough to send the soon to be Life Hatake,”

“Life Hatake? You mean they found it?” Dust asked.

“Oh yes, they did. However, he doesn’t have the magical power to be any threat to us.”

“So, why don’t you go for the Blue Phoenix?” Kathyui asked.

“You ask too many questions,” The hooded figures hand started glowing and magical energy started surrounding his hand and forming a blade. “But, if you must know I already had things taken care of. I have someone on the inside and he’s doing an excellent job.”

“Well, that’s a relief.  You can let us free now,” Kathyui giggled.

“I’m sorry I can’t do that,” The hooded figure said.

“What? Why not? Look, I know you’re the Death Hatake but come on,” Dust pleaded.

“You are no use to us anymore,” the figure stated, “you also know too much, so, you have to be discontinued until you are.”

“Us!? Discontinued!? Wait, wait, we can talk about this,” Kathyui begged.

“I’m afraid not,” The hooded figure raised his hand a bright light was unleashed.
_________________________________________________________________

They heard a large explosion behind them, and they look back towards the Arena that was engulfed in a powerful blast.

“What was that?” Fallon asked.

“I don’t know but we need to report back to the rest of the Council and RettSej. They’ll want to know about what happened,” Kevin said as they rode on their own mounts back to the Spiral door.
_________________________________________________________________

He heard laughter at the end of the dark tunnel.

“Hello? Is there anyone here?” He asked only to hear a mumbling of a smooth voice. “Hello?” He started running and the mumbling continued. He ran faster to get out of the darkness; it was never ending, so he ran faster. He slipped and fell into warm, caring arms.

“Oh, hey there sweetie, ready to go?” He looked up to see his smiling mother as happy as can be.

“Mommy, where we going?” He asked.

“We’re moving to Central city, Jeremy. Doesn’t that sound like fun?”

“What about Matt and Angel?” He looked to the side to see Angel walking towards them.

“They’ll be staying here, but we can come visit any time,” she said while smiling.

“Um, excuse me Vita, can I have a word with you?” Angel asked her.

“Sure,” she said plainly, “Jeremy, go play with Matt. I think he’s by the Piggle nest.” Jeremy nodded and walked over to where the Piggle nest was as his mom and Angel entered the Fjord. He found Matt feeding the baby Piggles.

“Hey Matt!” He waved and Matt grinned and waved crazily, “Watcha doing?”

“Me feeding the pigglys, they like this yellow stuff, but it tastes gross,” He picked up a piece of their food and showed it to Jeremy.

“Ewww, it smells gross too,” Jeremy said then laughed.

“Where your mommy?” Matt asked.

“She talking to Angel inside. Maybe he change her mind ‘bout leaving,”

“I hope so! I don’ wanna lose my best friend!” Matt yelled. “Hey, I have a idea. Why not we go listen about what they talking about?”

“Oh, ok, sure. Let’s go!” The kids walked into the Fjord and started going through the halls like they were Ninja Pigs from the show Waruto. Then he heard Angel’s voice in a room and opened the door just a crack. They could see Angel and Vita sitting across from each other in the library and they listened to their conversation.

“Look, I already told you Angel, I don’t want to hear any of this,” Vita protested.

“I know, but this isn’t about you. It’s about your son,” Angel insisted.

“I know that, but I don’t believe any of it.”

“Look, the Council never lies. They say he’s the next Lif-”

“No, no, and no. My son will not be one of you. I refuse to let that happen.”

“It’s not your choice. It’s not any of ours. It’s just the way it is.”

“No, my son will not be what they say he will. He will not be a puppet to be manipulated for a show of strength.”

“Vita, that’s not really what it is to be a Hat-”

“Oh it isn’t?” She said sarcastically. “I know what happens when someone becomes one of you. They get treated like they’re special and all, but they’re just being used as weapons for their sick, sadistic leaders.”

“Vita…” Angel said.

“Am I wrong? …I’m sorry Angel, but my son will not be a part of this.” She stood up, and made as if she was about to leave but Angel grabbed her wrist to stop her.

“You can’t hide this from him. He’ll have to know eventually.”

“If I do things right he won’t have to know.”

“It’s his destiny. Even if he doesn’t know, they’ll be looking for him. They won’t stop until they find him. At least with us he can be safe and I assure you he will never be used.” She thought about it for a moment but then shook her head and released her hand from Angel’s grip.

“I’m sorry, but this would not be what his father would want.”

“Fine, but I’ll be watching over him just in case.”

“Ok, and Angel,” Vita said.

“Yeah?”

“If anything happens to me, promise me that you won’t tell him. Only if it’s absolutely necessary that you need to tell him. Other than that, please don’t say anything. Promise me that.” He nodded and she took to leave. Jeremy and Matt ran as fast as they could and made it into the living room pretending to be chasing each other. Vita appeared from the hallway and approached and kneeled on one knee.

Come on Jeremy, it’s time to go!” He opened his eyes to see Matt almost dumping a bucket of ice cold water on him. “Finally, you’re awake!”

“Huh? Matt what are you doing?” Jeremy asked.

“Trying to get you out of your bed. I’ve been trying for the past five minutes!” Matt answered. “We need to go to Zafaria today, remember? By the way, happy birthday.”

“Thanks, you too Matt… We’re going to Zafaria? I forgot!”

“No duh, get dressed. Professor Ravensinger is waiting for you so we can start heading out.” Matt walked out of the room leaving a confused Jeremy behind.
‘What was that dream? Did it actually happen?’ He got up from the bed and opened his drawers and pulled out some comfortable clothes as they’ll be searching and exploring. You’re going to be late, Jeremy.

“Oh, so now you talk Piggly?” He didn’t get any response back, he just put on his clothes and stepped out of the door only to be grabbed by Matt and put in a head lock.

“Finally, why are you so slow?” Matt joked.

“I thought I was pretty fast,” Jeremy got out of the head lock and started running towards the entrance. “Meet ya there, Icicle!”

“You’re gonna get it, Jeremy!” Matt ran after him. They ran to the entrance where they spotted Professor Ravensinger reviewing some research notes. They stopped in front of him and he looked between both of them.

“Are we ready to go?” Ravensinger asked.

“Yup, we’re ready.” Matt confirmed.

“Ok, we’re going to stop in Marleybone to pick up something,” Alric informed them.

“Pick up what?” Jeremy wondered.

“We’re going to the laboratory of the creator of The Kingsisle Communication Systems,” Alric said.

“…And who would that be?” Jeremy asked.

“Doctor Austin Kingsisle,” Alric answered. “Ok, so let’s go.” They went to the outside of the Twi-star observatory and reached the Spiral door to enter the Marleybone. Jeremy and Matt were going to head to Regent Square but Alric went in a different direction.

“Where are you going, professor?” Matt asked.

“Dr. Austin’s lab is this way. Hidden near the Spiral door,” Alric walked to an altar lined with a bunch of candles. He grabbed the only one that wasn’t lit and pulled it like a lever. There was a knocking and chiming like a door bell and then at the corner appeared a short man with crazy white hair sticking up from the sides. He had a lab coat on and a big mustache, and glasses.

“Heyo, Alric my boy, how do you do?” the old man asked.

“Good, and you Dr. Austin?”

“Been up in my lab, making all these crazy thingys that’ll help everybody!” Dr. Austin answered. “Oh, and who are these young boys, over in the hither?”

“This is Jeremy Wildred and Matthew Winterbreeze,” Alric pointed to the boys.

“Wildred, and Winterbreeze ya say? How interesting…” Dr. Austin walked near the boys and started inspecting them from head to toe and got into Jeremy’s face and looked directly into his eyes. “AHA!” Dr. Austin yelled which made Jeremy jump back a little. “I thought ya looked familiar! You have your mother’s face!”

“My mother? You knew my mom?” Jeremy asked.

“Now, now, that’s for a later time. Watcha want Alric?” Dr. Austin asked.

“Well, I wondering if I could have that thing you were talking about last time,” Alric said.

“Sure, sure, anything for ya,” Dr. Austin waved his hand and a box appeared in Alric’s hand. “If that’s all, Imma get back to my lab. See y’all later!” With that he poofed with a puff of smoke.

“What the heck?” Matt asked.

“Don’t ask,” Alric answered. “Anyways, time to get to Zafaria.” The boys nodded and headed into the Spiral door.
Matt reached into his pocket to touch the note that was given to him. ‘I’m sorry Jeremy. I hope you’ll forgive me.’

My Spiral Mission: Protector of the Lore [Chapter 17]

Hatakes vs Angels

Special guests, like who?” Ronan asked.

“Don’t worry ‘bout it,” was Kathyui’s reply.

“Why the big crowd? Why can’t we-“

“I’m sorry, but I thought you needed MY help. This is the way we’re going to do things. No ifs, ands, or buts,” she said as she stopped in front of Ronan’s face. They all looked at her like she was crazy. Kathyui turned around with a ‘hmph’ and entered the Arena.

“…Guess we have no choice,” Angel concluded as they entered the Arena behind Kathyui.

As they entered they could see people hanging next to walls and trees calmly selling new spells or scamming others out of their treasure cards. As the folks who inhabited The Arena spotted them they started following the group. Kathyui led them into a large arena filled with rouge wizards and normal looking wizards all around. There were many Angel statue guards at every entrance and corner. At the far end of the arena there was a spot that had three thrones. Two of the thrones were occupied so they guessed that the empty one was Kathyui’s seat.

“Go into the arena and wait for further instructions,” she ordered the group.

She left and walked toward the Thrones and stopped in front of the one in the middle that was occupied by a man with a helmet that covered most of his face except his eyes. The helmet was dark blue that matched his armor but his helmet had spikes coming out of the top of it that resembled a crown.

“Who’s that?” Angel asked.

“That is Kane,” Sophia pointed to the armored man in the Throne then she pointed to the one next to him that was not so heavily armored but in a long elegant robe but he also had a crown, “and that, is Dust. Together with the original creator of these guard statues, Angel, Kathyui, Kane, and Dust are the four Generals of the Arena.”

“Angel? Who is that?”

“Angel had the power to duplicate himself. He would fight a full team of wizards by himself and still win. His eyes and thoughts were connected to each clone he made, so, it made his teamwork one of the best in The Arena.” Alexander Jade answered.

“What? That’s not even fair!” Angel replied.

“Doesn’t have to be, now that Central city has a new arena down by Olde Town,” Nicholas Sun said.

“What happened to Angel? I don’t see a fourth throne,” Kevin questioned.

“Duplicating yourself that many times shortens your life span considerably, even for a wizard; after he decided to take on the entire Polaris army on his own he couldn’t move afterwards. Kathyui and Angel had a ‘thing’ going on and Angel’s only wish was that he could protect Kathyui as long as she lives. Kathyui used magic to use Angel’s DNA on the statues and that’s how these statues were created. So, the fourth general is still here,” Sophia looked towards Kathyui who was obviously flirting with the top General, Kane, “she’s despicable.”

“Wait, I thought you said Kathyui ruled the Arena? Why is Kane sitting on the biggest throne then? Shouldn’t they all be equal?” Angel asked.

“Kathyui is the only one who can control the Angel statues. Kane however, is the strongest of the four Generals.”

The crowd in the arena got quieter has Kathyui stood before the group of wizards ‘’Welcome to the Arena. Today we shall watch a match between the alliance and the Angels!” The crowd cheered and stomped their feet and went silent again as Kathyui raised her hand, “choose the wizards who will fight,” she pointed at the group.

Both Angel and Sophia raised their hands and said “I am” simultaneously.

“Are you both insane? That’s exactly what she wants! For you two to join the battle,” Alexander Jade protested.

“Doesn’t matter, with us participating we can end this faster.” Angel stated.

“I agree with ice guy over here,” Sophia said as Angel glared at her.

“Fine, but me and Ronan will join you,” Kevin didn’t leave room for protest as Alex and Nick went to the sidelines to watch.

Kathyui smirked and looked towards Kane who nodded, “may the battle commence!” Several Angel statues landed in front of them. Each one of them took out the Spell circle card as did the group of wizards. “Initiate Duel circle.” They all said at the same time. They all threw the spell circle cards to the middle and they all merged and expanded to form a Duel circle. All eight participants entered their designated spots and the turn arrow appeared to announce the start of the match.

“At least we go first,” Angel said as he was picking his cards that were floating in front of him. The others were doing the same and waited for Angel to pick his card. Being the last player and seeing what the others picked he just decided on picking a stun block and putting it on himself. Sophia drew a fire symbol and threw the card she picked through it and created a ball of fire that landed in the middle of circle and expanded to create a Wyldfire. Kevin drew an ice symbol and tossed it through it and shields were placed on their team. Ronan drew a balance symbol and blades were placed on their team. It was Angels turn and he drew and ice symbol and two stun shields were placed by his feet.

“Lucky,” they heard Dust say. The first three Angel statues placed storm blades on themselves, but the last one drew a fire symbol and they were surrounded by flames and Kevin, Ronan, and Sophia started choking while a stun shield was taken from Angel.

‘Don’t tell me…’ Angel thought as his cards were once again displayed in front of him. He started discarding cards and pulling out treasure cards as fast as he could, ‘come on! Come on!’ He begged, “Yes! I hope this works,” the arrow skipped Sophia, Kevin, Ronan, and went straight to Angel. He drew a myth symbol and threw the card through the symbol and the myth spark went to the middle and hovered over the middle until an intense bright light covered the entire Arena. Once the light went down again it was the start of another round and all the cards were hovering in front of their respective owners.

“Nice one Angel!” Kevin complimented.

“Tch, treasure noob,” Kathyui commented.

Angel smiled at what they were about to do to stop the Angels from using those blades and ending this battle quickly. Sophia drew a fire symbol and threw the card at it and the ball of fire that shot out of it starting pouring smoke out of it and it surrounded the Angel statues. Kevin drew a death symbol and placed a plague on the Angel statues. Ronan drew a balance symbol and threw the cards through it and the little ball of balance energy flew to the middle and exploded into a Power Nova that hit the Angel statues without fail. Angel put the finishing touches by drawing a death symbol and casting a Virulent Plague on the Angel statues.

“Ugh! Spammers!” Dust yelled while the crowd just stayed silent. Just like they thought the Angel the drew a storm symbol and a wave of water was launched at the group of wizards, same with the rest of the statues who did the same. By the end of it all the group barely lost any health.

“This is ridiculous,” Kathyui said, “Capture these fools!” she ordered the statues and a bunch of them swarmed the arena.

“What! I thought we were doing this to get you on our side?” Alex said.

“Oh please, he will love that I captured the Hatakes!” Kathyui cheered.

“I knew that RettSej was behind this!” Angel yelled.

“You’re just as clueless as always Angel. RettSej has nothing to do with this,” Dust responded. Before Angel had time to question him they were surrounded by hundreds of Angel statues. Just as Angel was about to attack they heard thunder up above. The clouds above were moving in a circular motion and lighting could be seen going crazy in the clouds.

“What the heck is that?” Kathyui cried as Kevin and Ronan smirked at the scene. Angel gave a questioning look to them but they didn’t answer. Then there was an opening being created in the clouds similar to an Insane Bolt.
Kane stood up after sitting idle throughout the entire scene and uttered only one word, “Fallon…”

“What did you sa-” before Kathyui can finish her question a bolt of lightning shot down in front of her and she flew backwards into the stands. Vines started bursting from everywhere entangling all the people in the stands, the Angel statues, and the generals.

“What the heck is going on?” Sophia yelled while she was running towards Alex and Nick.

“Stay still, Sophia,” Kevin ordered, “they won’t hurt you.”

“Who are they?” Sophia asked as she stood like a frozen statue. A swirling tornado went down in front of the group and dispersed to reveal a woman with pink hair and storm symbol robes. A giant flower appeared next to her and opened to reveal another woman with silver hair and a purple and green life symbol robe.

“Nice entrance,” Angel chuckled, “Cass, Fallon, what are you doing here?”

“Well, other than saving you guys we’re just enjoy the scenery,” Cass giggled.

“Man, it’s been awhile since I’ve been in here,” Fallon noted. Kane who was staring coldly at the new comers didn’t move an inch, but the vines that were entangling him started freezing, cracking, and falling off. Fallon heard the frozen vines hit the floor and looked up to see that Kathyui was being helped up by a couple Angel statues and Dust blasted off the vines on him.

“Angel, you and Sophia should get out of here,” Fallon told him.

“Are you crazy? I can take them,” Sophia yelled at Fallon.

“Doesn’t matter, come on,” Angel said while he grabbed Sophia’s hand and started running towards the door.

“What are you doing? We are Hatakes we can take them easily!”

“No, that’s exactly what they want. Right now we need to head back to base. Ronan, Kevin, Cass, and Fallon can handle them.”

“How do you know?” Angel smirked at her question.

“Trust me, they’ve fought them before.” With that he exited the Arena leaving the team, Nick, and Alex there.

“You…” Kane growled.

“Long time no see,” Fallon replied.

“I’m certain this will be the last,” Dust glared.

“We’ll see about that,” Cass retorted.
