My Spiral Mission: Protector of the Lore [Chapter 18]

On With the Hunt

They heard footsteps coming through the rubble that was left of the arena after the intense battle that took place moments before. The wizards were tied up; all facing a different direction, and some were getting back from being unconscious. The hooded figure, wearing all black, approached the team and placed a hand on the rubble of one of the pillars that fell and started rubbing it and inspecting the damage. Dust looked up after getting tired of struggling and went wide-eyed.

“I sent you on a simple mission and this is what I get…” The hooded figure spoke.

“We’re sorry, they surprised us,” Dust said with his head hanging in shame.

“I see..”

“We didn’t know they brought reinforcements, and-” Kathyui defended herself.

“All I asked was to capture the Golden Phoenix’s daughter. Was that too much to ask for?” The figure said in a stern voice.

“Why do you only want the Fire Hatake? You knew the Knights had the Ice one too,” Kane questioned.

“Well, you do know that Angel’s grandson will be granted the Hatake powers very soon. I was hoping that the Knights would be stupid enough to send the soon to be Life Hatake,”

“Life Hatake? You mean they found it?” Dust asked.

“Oh yes, they did. However, he doesn’t have the magical power to be any threat to us.”

“So, why don’t you go for the Blue Phoenix?” Kathyui asked.

“You ask too many questions,” The hooded figures hand started glowing and magical energy started surrounding his hand and forming a blade. “But, if you must know I already had things taken care of. I have someone on the inside and he’s doing an excellent job.”

“Well, that’s a relief.  You can let us free now,” Kathyui giggled.

“I’m sorry I can’t do that,” The hooded figure said.

“What? Why not? Look, I know you’re the Death Hatake but come on,” Dust pleaded.

“You are no use to us anymore,” the figure stated, “you also know too much, so, you have to be discontinued until you are.”

“Us!? Discontinued!? Wait, wait, we can talk about this,” Kathyui begged.

“I’m afraid not,” The hooded figure raised his hand a bright light was unleashed.

They heard a large explosion behind them, and they look back towards the Arena that was engulfed in a powerful blast.

“What was that?” Fallon asked.

“I don’t know but we need to report back to the rest of the Council and RettSej. They’ll want to know about what happened,” Kevin said as they rode on their own mounts back to the Spiral door.
_________________________________________________________________

He heard laughter at the end of the dark tunnel.

“Hello? Is there anyone here?” He asked only to hear a mumbling of a smooth voice. “Hello?” He started running and the mumbling continued. He ran faster to get out of the darkness; it was never ending, so he ran faster. He slipped and fell into warm, caring arms.

“Oh, hey there sweetie, ready to go?” He looked up to see his smiling mother as happy as can be.

“Mommy, where we going?” He asked.

“We’re moving to Central city, Jeremy. Doesn’t that sound like fun?”

“What about Matt and Angel?” He looked to the side to see Angel walking towards them.

“They’ll be staying here, but we can come visit any time,” she said while smiling.

“Um, excuse me Vita, can I have a word with you?” Angel asked her.

“Sure,” she said plainly, “Jeremy, go play with Matt. I think he’s by the Piggle nest.” Jeremy nodded and walked over to where the Piggle nest was as his mom and Angel entered the Fjord. He found Matt feeding the baby Piggles.

“Hey Matt!” He waved and Matt grinned and waved crazily, “Watcha doing?”

“Me feeding the pigglys, they like this yellow stuff, but it tastes gross,” He picked up a piece of their food and showed it to Jeremy.

“Ewww, it smells gross too,” Jeremy said then laughed.

“Where your mommy?” Matt asked.

“She talking to Angel inside. Maybe he change her mind ‘bout leaving,”

“I hope so! I don’ wanna lose my best friend!” Matt yelled. “Hey, I have a idea. Why not we go listen about what they talking about?”

“Oh, ok, sure. Let’s go!” The kids walked into the Fjord and started going through the halls like they were Ninja Pigs from the show Waruto. Then he heard Angel’s voice in a room and opened the door just a crack. They could see Angel and Vita sitting across from each other in the library and they listened to their conversation.

“Look, I already told you Angel, I don’t want to hear any of this,” Vita protested.

“I know, but this isn’t about you. It’s about your son,” Angel insisted.

“I know that, but I don’t believe any of it.”

“Look, the Council never lies. They say he’s the next Lif-”

“No, no, and no. My son will not be one of you. I refuse to let that happen.”

“It’s not your choice. It’s not any of ours. It’s just the way it is.”

“No, my son will not be what they say he will. He will not be a puppet to be manipulated for a show of strength.”

“Vita, that’s not really what it is to be a Hat-”

“Oh it isn’t?” She said sarcastically. “I know what happens when someone becomes one of you. They get treated like they’re special and all, but they’re just being used as weapons for their sick, sadistic leaders.”

“Vita…” Angel said.

“Am I wrong? …I’m sorry Angel, but my son will not be a part of this.” She stood up, and made as if she was about to leave but Angel grabbed her wrist to stop her.

“You can’t hide this from him. He’ll have to know eventually.”

“If I do things right he won’t have to know.”

“It’s his destiny. Even if he doesn’t know, they’ll be looking for him. They won’t stop until they find him. At least with us he can be safe and I assure you he will never be used.” She thought about it for a moment but then shook her head and released her hand from Angel’s grip.

“I’m sorry, but this would not be what his father would want.”

“Fine, but I’ll be watching over him just in case.”

“Ok, and Angel,” Vita said.

“Yeah?”

“If anything happens to me, promise me that you won’t tell him. Only if it’s absolutely necessary that you need to tell him. Other than that, please don’t say anything. Promise me that.” He nodded and she took to leave. Jeremy and Matt ran as fast as they could and made it into the living room pretending to be chasing each other. Vita appeared from the hallway and approached and kneeled on one knee.

Come on Jeremy, it’s time to go!” He opened his eyes to see Matt almost dumping a bucket of ice cold water on him. “Finally, you’re awake!”

“Huh? Matt what are you doing?” Jeremy asked.

“Trying to get you out of your bed. I’ve been trying for the past five minutes!” Matt answered. “We need to go to Zafaria today, remember? By the way, happy birthday.”

“Thanks, you too Matt… We’re going to Zafaria? I forgot!”

“No duh, get dressed. Professor Ravensinger is waiting for you so we can start heading out.” Matt walked out of the room leaving a confused Jeremy behind.
‘What was that dream? Did it actually happen?’ He got up from the bed and opened his drawers and pulled out some comfortable clothes as they’ll be searching and exploring. You’re going to be late, Jeremy.

“Oh, so now you talk Piggly?” He didn’t get any response back, he just put on his clothes and stepped out of the door only to be grabbed by Matt and put in a head lock.

“Finally, why are you so slow?” Matt joked.

“I thought I was pretty fast,” Jeremy got out of the head lock and started running towards the entrance. “Meet ya there, Icicle!”

“You’re gonna get it, Jeremy!” Matt ran after him. They ran to the entrance where they spotted Professor Ravensinger reviewing some research notes. They stopped in front of him and he looked between both of them.

“Are we ready to go?” Ravensinger asked.

“Yup, we’re ready.” Matt confirmed.

“Ok, we’re going to stop in Marleybone to pick up something,” Alric informed them.

“Pick up what?” Jeremy wondered.

“We’re going to the laboratory of the creator of The Kingsisle Communication Systems,” Alric said.

“…And who would that be?” Jeremy asked.

“Doctor Austin Kingsisle,” Alric answered. “Ok, so let’s go.” They went to the outside of the Twi-star observatory and reached the Spiral door to enter the Marleybone. Jeremy and Matt were going to head to Regent Square but Alric went in a different direction.

“Where are you going, professor?” Matt asked.

“Dr. Austin’s lab is this way. Hidden near the Spiral door,” Alric walked to an altar lined with a bunch of candles. He grabbed the only one that wasn’t lit and pulled it like a lever. There was a knocking and chiming like a door bell and then at the corner appeared a short man with crazy white hair sticking up from the sides. He had a lab coat on and a big mustache, and glasses.

“Heyo, Alric my boy, how do you do?” the old man asked.

“Good, and you Dr. Austin?”

“Been up in my lab, making all these crazy thingys that’ll help everybody!” Dr. Austin answered. “Oh, and who are these young boys, over in the hither?”

“This is Jeremy Wildred and Matthew Winterbreeze,” Alric pointed to the boys.

“Wildred, and Winterbreeze ya say? How interesting…” Dr. Austin walked near the boys and started inspecting them from head to toe and got into Jeremy’s face and looked directly into his eyes. “AHA!” Dr. Austin yelled which made Jeremy jump back a little. “I thought ya looked familiar! You have your mother’s face!”

“My mother? You knew my mom?” Jeremy asked.

“Now, now, that’s for a later time. Watcha want Alric?” Dr. Austin asked.

“Well, I wondering if I could have that thing you were talking about last time,” Alric said.

“Sure, sure, anything for ya,” Dr. Austin waved his hand and a box appeared in Alric’s hand. “If that’s all, Imma get back to my lab. See y’all later!” With that he poofed with a puff of smoke.

“What the heck?” Matt asked.

“Don’t ask,” Alric answered. “Anyways, time to get to Zafaria.” The boys nodded and headed into the Spiral door.
Matt reached into his pocket to touch the note that was given to him. ‘I’m sorry Jeremy. I hope you’ll forgive me.’

My Spiral Mission: Protector of the Lore [Chapter 17]

Hatakes vs Angels

Special guests, like who?” Ronan asked.

“Don’t worry ‘bout it,” was Kathyui’s reply.

“Why the big crowd? Why can’t we-“

“I’m sorry, but I thought you needed MY help. This is the way we’re going to do things. No ifs, ands, or buts,” she said as she stopped in front of Ronan’s face. They all looked at her like she was crazy. Kathyui turned around with a ‘hmph’ and entered the Arena.

“…Guess we have no choice,” Angel concluded as they entered the Arena behind Kathyui.

As they entered they could see people hanging next to walls and trees calmly selling new spells or scamming others out of their treasure cards. As the folks who inhabited The Arena spotted them they started following the group. Kathyui led them into a large arena filled with rouge wizards and normal looking wizards all around. There were many Angel statue guards at every entrance and corner. At the far end of the arena there was a spot that had three thrones. Two of the thrones were occupied so they guessed that the empty one was Kathyui’s seat.

“Go into the arena and wait for further instructions,” she ordered the group.

She left and walked toward the Thrones and stopped in front of the one in the middle that was occupied by a man with a helmet that covered most of his face except his eyes. The helmet was dark blue that matched his armor but his helmet had spikes coming out of the top of it that resembled a crown.

“Who’s that?” Angel asked.

“That is Kane,” Sophia pointed to the armored man in the Throne then she pointed to the one next to him that was not so heavily armored but in a long elegant robe but he also had a crown, “and that, is Dust. Together with the original creator of these guard statues, Angel, Kathyui, Kane, and Dust are the four Generals of the Arena.”

“Angel? Who is that?”

“Angel had the power to duplicate himself. He would fight a full team of wizards by himself and still win. His eyes and thoughts were connected to each clone he made, so, it made his teamwork one of the best in The Arena.” Alexander Jade answered.

“What? That’s not even fair!” Angel replied.

“Doesn’t have to be, now that Central city has a new arena down by Olde Town,” Nicholas Sun said.

“What happened to Angel? I don’t see a fourth throne,” Kevin questioned.

“Duplicating yourself that many times shortens your life span considerably, even for a wizard; after he decided to take on the entire Polaris army on his own he couldn’t move afterwards. Kathyui and Angel had a ‘thing’ going on and Angel’s only wish was that he could protect Kathyui as long as she lives. Kathyui used magic to use Angel’s DNA on the statues and that’s how these statues were created. So, the fourth general is still here,” Sophia looked towards Kathyui who was obviously flirting with the top General, Kane, “she’s despicable.”

“Wait, I thought you said Kathyui ruled the Arena? Why is Kane sitting on the biggest throne then? Shouldn’t they all be equal?” Angel asked.

“Kathyui is the only one who can control the Angel statues. Kane however, is the strongest of the four Generals.”

The crowd in the arena got quieter has Kathyui stood before the group of wizards ‘’Welcome to the Arena. Today we shall watch a match between the alliance and the Angels!” The crowd cheered and stomped their feet and went silent again as Kathyui raised her hand, “choose the wizards who will fight,” she pointed at the group.

Both Angel and Sophia raised their hands and said “I am” simultaneously.

“Are you both insane? That’s exactly what she wants! For you two to join the battle,” Alexander Jade protested.

“Doesn’t matter, with us participating we can end this faster.” Angel stated.

“I agree with ice guy over here,” Sophia said as Angel glared at her.

“Fine, but me and Ronan will join you,” Kevin didn’t leave room for protest as Alex and Nick went to the sidelines to watch.

Kathyui smirked and looked towards Kane who nodded, “may the battle commence!” Several Angel statues landed in front of them. Each one of them took out the Spell circle card as did the group of wizards. “Initiate Duel circle.” They all said at the same time. They all threw the spell circle cards to the middle and they all merged and expanded to form a Duel circle. All eight participants entered their designated spots and the turn arrow appeared to announce the start of the match.

“At least we go first,” Angel said as he was picking his cards that were floating in front of him. The others were doing the same and waited for Angel to pick his card. Being the last player and seeing what the others picked he just decided on picking a stun block and putting it on himself. Sophia drew a fire symbol and threw the card she picked through it and created a ball of fire that landed in the middle of circle and expanded to create a Wyldfire. Kevin drew an ice symbol and tossed it through it and shields were placed on their team. Ronan drew a balance symbol and blades were placed on their team. It was Angels turn and he drew and ice symbol and two stun shields were placed by his feet.

“Lucky,” they heard Dust say. The first three Angel statues placed storm blades on themselves, but the last one drew a fire symbol and they were surrounded by flames and Kevin, Ronan, and Sophia started choking while a stun shield was taken from Angel.

‘Don’t tell me…’ Angel thought as his cards were once again displayed in front of him. He started discarding cards and pulling out treasure cards as fast as he could, ‘come on! Come on!’ He begged, “Yes! I hope this works,” the arrow skipped Sophia, Kevin, Ronan, and went straight to Angel. He drew a myth symbol and threw the card through the symbol and the myth spark went to the middle and hovered over the middle until an intense bright light covered the entire Arena. Once the light went down again it was the start of another round and all the cards were hovering in front of their respective owners.

“Nice one Angel!” Kevin complimented.

“Tch, treasure noob,” Kathyui commented.

Angel smiled at what they were about to do to stop the Angels from using those blades and ending this battle quickly. Sophia drew a fire symbol and threw the card at it and the ball of fire that shot out of it starting pouring smoke out of it and it surrounded the Angel statues. Kevin drew a death symbol and placed a plague on the Angel statues. Ronan drew a balance symbol and threw the cards through it and the little ball of balance energy flew to the middle and exploded into a Power Nova that hit the Angel statues without fail. Angel put the finishing touches by drawing a death symbol and casting a Virulent Plague on the Angel statues.

“Ugh! Spammers!” Dust yelled while the crowd just stayed silent. Just like they thought the Angel the drew a storm symbol and a wave of water was launched at the group of wizards, same with the rest of the statues who did the same. By the end of it all the group barely lost any health.

“This is ridiculous,” Kathyui said, “Capture these fools!” she ordered the statues and a bunch of them swarmed the arena.

“What! I thought we were doing this to get you on our side?” Alex said.

“Oh please, he will love that I captured the Hatakes!” Kathyui cheered.

“I knew that RettSej was behind this!” Angel yelled.

“You’re just as clueless as always Angel. RettSej has nothing to do with this,” Dust responded. Before Angel had time to question him they were surrounded by hundreds of Angel statues. Just as Angel was about to attack they heard thunder up above. The clouds above were moving in a circular motion and lighting could be seen going crazy in the clouds.

“What the heck is that?” Kathyui cried as Kevin and Ronan smirked at the scene. Angel gave a questioning look to them but they didn’t answer. Then there was an opening being created in the clouds similar to an Insane Bolt.
Kane stood up after sitting idle throughout the entire scene and uttered only one word, “Fallon…”

“What did you sa-” before Kathyui can finish her question a bolt of lightning shot down in front of her and she flew backwards into the stands. Vines started bursting from everywhere entangling all the people in the stands, the Angel statues, and the generals.

“What the heck is going on?” Sophia yelled while she was running towards Alex and Nick.

“Stay still, Sophia,” Kevin ordered, “they won’t hurt you.”

“Who are they?” Sophia asked as she stood like a frozen statue. A swirling tornado went down in front of the group and dispersed to reveal a woman with pink hair and storm symbol robes. A giant flower appeared next to her and opened to reveal another woman with silver hair and a purple and green life symbol robe.

“Nice entrance,” Angel chuckled, “Cass, Fallon, what are you doing here?”

“Well, other than saving you guys we’re just enjoy the scenery,” Cass giggled.

“Man, it’s been awhile since I’ve been in here,” Fallon noted. Kane who was staring coldly at the new comers didn’t move an inch, but the vines that were entangling him started freezing, cracking, and falling off. Fallon heard the frozen vines hit the floor and looked up to see that Kathyui was being helped up by a couple Angel statues and Dust blasted off the vines on him.

“Angel, you and Sophia should get out of here,” Fallon told him.

“Are you crazy? I can take them,” Sophia yelled at Fallon.

“Doesn’t matter, come on,” Angel said while he grabbed Sophia’s hand and started running towards the door.

“What are you doing? We are Hatakes we can take them easily!”

“No, that’s exactly what they want. Right now we need to head back to base. Ronan, Kevin, Cass, and Fallon can handle them.”

“How do you know?” Angel smirked at her question.

“Trust me, they’ve fought them before.” With that he exited the Arena leaving the team, Nick, and Alex there.

“You…” Kane growled.

“Long time no see,” Fallon replied.

“I’m certain this will be the last,” Dust glared.

“We’ll see about that,” Cass retorted.

Level 78 Spell Ideas!

Was just having some fun thinking about what our new spells should be. I think they're ok, but some might be overpowered but you are using 10 pips to use them so shouldn't they be powerful?

For Fire I want them to get a single hit DoT similar to Basilisk without the stun, but adding two smokecreens.

For Myth I think it's time they get a strong AoE. This spell is basically an Orthrus but on everyone plus a stun!

For Life I think they should another heal spell but this time one similar to the Life Bat spell.

I don't know about you but Death really needs a stronger AoE, and throw in a plague!

Since Kingsisle introduced the Spirit version of Hydra, Chimera, I think Balance should get a something along the lines of Spectral Blast a la Spirit! 1050 heal, 890 drain, or 970 myth damage plus stun! Finally Balance gets a stun, and 2 ways to heal themselves!

For Ice I think just a stronger Wooly Mammoth is needed, but this time it steals 2 positive wards (shields) from the opponent!

Since Storm got an AoE at 68 now they need get a single hit at 78. Volt Cannon is a combination of Thunder Bird and a single hit Storm Lord. 1180 damage? Ouch.

The Globe PvP Party!

If you can read this sentence then you are invited to The Globe PvP Party!

When: January 14th 2012!

Where: The Globe

Port bus info and time:
Look for Angel Fireheart in the Life tower on Phoenix realm, area 1.
Port bus will be there from 5:45pm - 6:00pm.
Please contact me through Twitter or in-game if you need a pick up after the time posted.
Times above are in EST.

IMPORTANT! Before you go to The Globe there are some little details and rules that you might want to know.

Rules:
1.) When you arrive at The Globe (once you teleport in) please wait until you have loaded everything in it so you do not accidentally get stuck in something.

2.) In addition to Rule 1, please dismount(unequip your mount) once you arrive at The Globe. This reduces lag for all of us, plus it might block the view of others.

3.) Please refrain from staying inside the battle circle once a battle has started. If you happen to teleport to your friend while he/she is in a battle please use the teleporter that is there to go to the viewing area.

4.) No foul/inappropriate language and no harassing other players is EVER allowed in this party, much less in Wizard101.

Must know:
- This teleporter will take you to the Lobby. It can be accessed from both outside and inside The Globe. After a battle is finished use this teleporter if you want to join the next battle. The port bus on most occasions will drop you off outside The Globe by the Spiral Door. Once inside The Globe there is no way to get to the Spiral door.

- This is the Lobby section of The Globe. Here all wizards will be transported to when you go through the entrance. The Blue portal will take you to the viewing area to watch matches. The Yellow portal will immediately take you into the duel. When a match is being played the portal to the arena will be closed so we do not have random people in the arena section. When a match ends you must wait in the Lobby for a 30-50 second "recharge" period. During this time you can check your treasure cards, gear, pets, and be ready to fight! After the "recharge" period is over I will unlock the portal to the arena. This ensures that the teams are set at random.

-This is the interior of The Globe. The Blue teleporter in the Lobby will teleport you to the second floor balcony of the viewing area. From the balcony you can use the rugs on either side to view the matches in first person by using the walls of The Globe has headboards. If you wish to view at ground level you can just hop off the rugs. Under the balcony is where the entrance teleporter is if you want to go to the Lobby. Word of caution: When Bartleby comes out you will have a "Tree in Face" moment.

That's all! I hope to see you there!

My Spiral Mission: Protector of the Lore [Chapter 16]

Enter The Arena

“Any idea what they want?” Kevin questioned.

“We don’t know that either.” Sophia answered. They crossed the torn up commons and entered Unicorn Way.

“What the heck are those!?”

“Hide!” The wizards from Central city pulled Angel, Ronan, and Kevin behind a pedestal and stayed silent for a bit until Nicholas released a sigh of relief, “that was close...”

“What are those?” Angel whispered to the other three wizards.

“Where have you guys been? Living under a rock?” Alexander asked.

“We haven’t really been visiting that much.” Ronan answered.

“The Arena has changed dramatically,” Sophia informed, “dueling is only a minor part in what happens in The Arena nowadays. The one in charge is called Kathyui, she goes by the name ‘Katherine’, you may be familiar with her I am guessing?” She asked and they nodded.

“Then what are those?-” Angel asked.

“Would you let me finish?” Sophia retorted. Angel sat back with a huff and gave a wave for her to continue. “Those walking statues are called the ‘Angels’,” she pointed to huge dark purple statues that looked like armored knights. There were dozens of them roaming around the entrance to The Arena.

“They were supposedly created by Kathyui herself, but I doubt she has the kind of power. They are made to protect The Arena from any kind of danger.”

“Why are the called the ‘Angels’”?” Kevin asked.

“No idea, my best bet though is those wings that are across their chest other than that I know as much as you.”

“Well that’s a first,” Angel scoffed.

“Excuse me? What is that supposed to mean?”

“I’m just saying that you insist on being an incessant know-it-all.”

“What? I’d rather be intelligent than a lazy Thuamaturge who is only good for cooling water!”

“Angel,” Kevin interjected. Angel whipped his head toward Kevin showing how his green emerald eyes changed into icy light blue glowing eyes making his ice cold glare even more threatening.

“Please, don’t stop now.” They all turned their heads upwards to see a woman with beautiful brown hair with some blue highlights. Her eyes were as white as the snow and her outfit was a traditional Commander robe.

“K-kathyui?” Alexander stuttered.

“IT’S KATHERINE!” the woman yelled. “Capture these fools!” She ordered the statues and in a blink of an eye they were surrounded.

“Wait! We bring a message from Lord RettSej.”Sophia pleaded.

“Oh, from dear old Sejy?” Kathyui giggled while some of the other wizards shuddered. “Well, let’s hear it.” She ordered Sophia.

“Well, we, err… He would like to know if you would like to be in an alliance with Central city and The Knights of the Twi-star against the new forces that have taken the Spiral under siege.” Sophia explained.

“I see, and are these The Knights?” Kathyui pointed to Angel, Ronan, and Kevin who all nodded, “oh they’re pretty cute.” Sophia all but almost gagged at this. “I also see that they’ve involved the Hatakes in this as well.” Angel and Sophia perked up at this and looked at each other.

“How’d you know-?” Sophia was about to ask but was interrupted by Kathyui.

“You look just like your mother… Doesn’t she Angel?” Sophia looked back at Angel but he refused to make eye contact with her.

“You knew my mother?”

“A silly woman she was. Always talking about how everyone should respect each other or some other nonsense-“

“Shut up!” Sophia yelled.

“- it’s too bad that she had to leave you that way.”

“I said shut up!” She yelled again and her eyes glowed like flames and you could feel the warm air radiating from her.

“She had a bad temper too. Maybe that’s what cost her her life…” Before anyone can blink Sophia launched a flaming a fist towards Kathyui causing her to fly backwards.

“I don’t like to repeat myself,” Sophia said with a serious face.

“Looks like ‘Ms. Information’ packs a punch.” Angel chuckled. Sophia turned towards Angel and gripped his collar.

“How do you know my mother?” She asked with a dangerous tone to her voice.

“She was my wife’s best friend when they were on Earth. They both came to the Spiral together. We were walking together one day when it happened.”

“and you couldn’t save her!? You.. you…” She cried, you could see tears starting to build in her eyes.

“I was too late,” Angel said while looking at the ground, “I still feel guilty to this day.” Sophia looked up to Angel and was about to ask another thing when she was interrupted by some clapping behind her. They both looked up to see Kathyui clapping and giggling a little with a smug look on her face.

“You all are very entertaining and you still don’t have the guts to tell her, yet. That’s sad. However, let’s get down to business,” she rubbed her cheek where she was hit and gave a creepy smile towards them. “I see that you all have power, but is it enough to beat whatever this thing is? I need to be sure that your power is strong enough for me to trust you and join forces… I challenge you to a traditional 4v4 match.”

“We don’t have time for that Kathyui.” Angel replied.

“Pity, and here I thought you wanted me in your alliance.”

“We accept your challenge, who are we facing?” Kevin asked.

“You will fight the Angels and your audience will be my trusted advisors and some special guests…”

Three Years of Wizardry

I'll warn you now that this will be a long post. If you don't want to read all of this you can look through the pictures. In this post I will try to summarize everything that has happened in the three years since I have joined the wonderful game of Wizard101.

It was December 19th 2008, when I was surfing the internet for a fun MMORPG. Me being a fan of the weird, strange, and magical, I stood no chance in resisting Wizard101. I signed up for an account and downloaded the game. I was blown away by the spells, and graphics. The only MMO that I have played before Wizard101 was Runescape, so I went "wow" and "Cool" a lot during the tutorial for all new wizards. This is when I made my first character, Angel Winterbreeze, a novice Thaumaturge. Some people might not know that the first time I took the wizard test I got Fire, but when I took it again I got Ice. I thought it was fitting since it was winter after all. My favorite spell from that tutorial would be the Minotaur spell or maybe Centaur. They are both so cool! Oh, and I remember after the tutorial waiting forever for Ambrose to bring me to his office. I jumping everywhere and saying "are you ready now?". When I first landed in Merle's office I was surprised with how many wizards were there, and in the Commons too. It's not as much as today but it was still a lot. I spent my days as a novice wizard beating up The Kraken on a daily basis. Oh, and those 101 crowns we got for signing up back then, I spent them on a wand that cost 50 crowns and gave the same attack as a dropped novice wand... Yeah, I know, how foolish of me. On the bright side I learned how to manage crowns better... somewhat.

After I got tired of farming the Kraken, which lasted for about 2 months, crazy right... I took a break, didn't last long though. I think it was in April or May, or some time in the spring of 2009 that I saw this commercial:

After watching this same commercial a couple times I decided to hop back over onto the game. This is when I got addicted to housing, and PvP. This is also the first time I bought crowns. I bought just enough to have half of Krokotopia, which brought me to level 18. "But Angel, that's not really an important level..." Blasphemy! I say. Every level is important, and this one was very important to me. I went in with a level 18 into the arena and came out victorious against a team full of Grandmasters. I got called "treasure noob" a lot because of my treasure Blizzards, but oh well! That and my other team mates were Masters and Grandmasters I think. It was still a fun match though, and from then on I PvP'ed almost everyday! So, yes, I was once again addicted to Wizard101.

After a few months of questing through Krokotopia and PvPing on my Ice I made my second wizard. Bet you can't guess who it is! My Balance? Nope. I created a Myth wizard named Mark Giantcaller. Strange isn't it? Let me tell you that Myth is very hard to quest with. I got stuck at getting the the Cyclops Minion (Darn you dark fairies!). I got back on my Ice with my first Subscription I think around the summer time of 2009.

In July, I had my first Grandmaster. I think this was one of the top moments of  my gaming. I was excited about being one of the highest levels in the game finally. I got my level 48 spell, Frost Giant, and I was in love with it! This is also the time I first became a Commander in PvP. After a few weeks of doing the same thing I heard of guides to getting Grandmaster gear. Like any other wizard I wanted the best and strongest gear out there so I checked it out. This lead me to the Wizard101 fan site that is Wizard101Central. I signed up for an account for Wizard101Central on August 4th 2009.

the church of fireWizard101Central was a new experience for me. It made me connect and interact with thousands of other wizards across the country at the time. It had many guides and strategies that I was overwhelmed with information about Wizard101. This is also the time I found out about taking screen shots of Wizard101. I started taking tons of pictures of my houses, and of my friends.
I was pretty amazed on how much information I tapped into with Wizard101Central. I also met some pretty amazing people, and attended some parties that led me to some pretty amazing friends that I have today. I think when I first started posting about random stuff, and reading through the Ice PVP guides that were there. Back then the best dueling was Grandmaster dueling, and trust me, those. were. LONG.

After some Tournaments there on Wizard101Central I started attending
PvP parties. However, there were no houses with dueling circles in them. We had to use the "Old Arena". The Old Arena was where wizards originally dueled each other before the current PvP system. Back then, after the Ranked system was introduced and before the PvP houses we had to port to the middle of The Arena. The only way to get to the Old Arena was that you needed to have marked there before they introduced the Rank system or you had to have a friend there. I always got excited when someone was having a party in the Old Arena because it was the only chance I got to see spells up close in 3rd person. I also got to test my skills against many other wizards that showed up to these parties.

After I got tired of doing PvP I decided to do other things around the Spiral and on Wizard101Central. I started to 'dabble' with graphics. When I say dabble, I do mean dabble. I was not very good at them. AT ALL. I was confused at first of how to blur something or how to cut something out. It was a very rough time but eventually I learned some tricks and some Photoshop classes in school came in handy too. Eventually I started making mutations of spells like the Fire Wyvern. It took me about 3 days to make that picture with the help of other Central members and their feedback. This inspired my Mutation Creation Contests. These contests you had to get a Wizard101 spell and mutate it like I did with the Ice Wyvern but the mutation can not be already in game and I got some pretty interesting entries. From a Plasma Collosus to an Frost Centaur.

Angel WinterbreezeI'm going to time skip a little ahead because I spent about a year on Central doing the same thing over and over again. It was late 2009 or early 2010 when I found something that lead me to some pretty amazing friends. I was searching through the homepage of Wizard101Central, my name at the time was Arctic Wolf, and I found a link to Ravenwood Radio. I didn't know that there were other Wizard101 fan sites so I couldn't wait to hop on over and find out other things about Wizard101. It was also when I first hear of following Ravenwood Radio on Twitter and The Friendly Necromancer. I started reading Friendly's blog and looking through the blogs on his bloglist and came upon Ditto Wizard. It was during the summmer of 2010 when Ditto tweeted or posted somethingx that said he will give a shoutout to his 100th follower so.. guess what I did?

This was when I first became a Twizard and also when I signed up for Diary of a Wizard Connect X a short time after! At first I just followed the standard Wizard101 staff members, and the very well-known wizards. It took me a while for me to be accustomed to the Twitter Sphere. Especially since I came from a forum where you must know everything. In time I started following Kevin Battleblood, and Cassandra Dragonheart on Twitter along with Fallon, Paige Moonshade and Stephen Spiritcaller. I also created my first blog, which didn't turn out so popular. So, I eventually gave up on blogging soon after that. However, eventually I saw a tweet from Mr. Battleblood about a PvP party that he was holding and I was a regular participant in those. I should of gotten some frequent flyer miles...

In I think the 3rd PvP party I went on
a team with Fallon, SorceressMiklai, and some wizard's name that escapes me right now where I introduced Piggly and my excessive Unicorn spamming. Fallon and I were whispering each other on what should we do and I remember she discarded her Reshuffle and was worried that she'd run out of cards so I gave her mine. That match lasted I think 3-4 hours I'm not entirely sure. I added Fallon I think by the end of the match, and I think we took up the entire party with that match and we were all yawning by the end of it. It was a load of fun and that's when I got addicted to PvP Parties that I even hosted my own!

I eventually befriended Kevin and Cass, and we did a couple practice matches together and they were pretty fun even though I was in a wind tunnel.  Eventually I added Ronan Dawn and I was introduced to Team Perfect Catch. I was the one in the background hiding like a Ninja pig because people wanted to eat my bacon! It was hilarious when TPC transformed into Treants and started dancing around in them. I remember Panglou and some other Twizards were chasing me around like crazy. BACON!

I kind of skipped ahead a little. My first Test Realm was the Grizzleheim Test Realm where they introduced crafting and the Bazaar. At first it took me a while to grasp the concept that the crowns on Test Realm do not go into the Live realm too.. Yes I was very smart ;). Someone had to explain to me and they showed me where it says that "Anything that happens in Test Realm does not affect the realm game." Then came the Crown Shop Test Realm. Oh.. I went crazy in this one. The first time mounts were introduced we could dye them any color we want. I remember I had a white lion, it was awesome. They changed that soon afterwards, and no more rainbow mounts. More and more updates came including the Celestia Test Realm which was one of the most exciting updates ever! That might be because it was very hyped up.

By the end of 2010 is when I changed my name to SirWinterbreeze on Twitter and on Wizard101Central. That's when all the craziness started. It was a random day on the random month of January, I think, that I got a random Skype call from who else but the group that is now known as 'KT'. I was about to decline too... Imagine if I did decline? When I first stepped into that chatroom I knew I wasn't in Kansas anymore. That's when I first met Alric Ravensinger, and Autumn Fireblade.  It was later that the group was named KT, it was kind of weird because everyone had a previous connection with each other and I was just, there, you know? Eventually we all became something similar to a family and I was deemed as the little brother.

More randomness happened when I was invited to PvP with Diana Wildheart, Alan Rubymancer, Natalie Emeraldblade, and Kelsey Fireheart. At first it was just random 4v4 matches but eventually we became a team known as FrostFlame. We all eventually got to Warlord, and it was a bunch of fun to actually have a team going and working together! We also got to test our skills versus Team Perfect Catch and even though we lost in the end it was a pretty good match.

We did about a few dozen matches together I think. I'm always grateful that I got to be a part of a team, and to actually have won many matches.

I was extra excited on the new area of Wintertusk and Waterworks. We got new gear, new spells, and new pets. It was loads of awesomeness even though I haven't done Nastrond on Live yet but I'll get to it... Eventually.  Waterworks gear? I have MOST of them, heh. However, I can still get by without it. I think I've done the Waterworks maybe 50 times or more. Yes, lots of megas saved up. Now that they don't drop as much megas anymore I don't go through it was often but I will go if someone asks.

Oh we can't forget when Ravenwood Radio hosted a Hide and Seek game for the Sunshine Pony. Everywhere I went I saw familiar wizards running left and right it was awesome! I didn't win from the Hide and Seek though I think I won from either a trivia contest or to write something in an email. I'll admit that I squeeled like a baby Piggle when I found out that I won. It was the first time I actually won something in a contest before so heck yea I was hyped! I started entering in every contest Ravenwood Radio has had in hopes of getting the same luck. Self-centered right? Not really, I gave some of the prizes to my little sister who also plays the game sometimes.

When I finally got a Sultan's palace from a very generous person I had no idea what to do with it. It was very beautiful already and had no idea how to make it even more breathtaking. That's when I challenged my self to take a very beautiful house and make it into something horrible and ugly. That's where the Dragon Palace came into my mind. I wanted it to be a story where the Princess tried to summon a Dragon Spirit but she summons an Evil one that corrupts that Castle within. It was a very big housing project that took me about 2 months to make everything just right. The Bone Dragon mount was the star of it all and making it a scavenger hunt/PvP party was a bonus. I also tried to introduce how the landscape can be used as headboards and tried to make 360° 1st person view which was not accomplished with the Dragon Palace but it is achieved in The Globe.

The Ravenwood Ball was also one of the highlights of 2011 where I got to be a guest host along with Cassandra Dragonheart and Paige Moonshade with Kevin Battleblood commentating LIVE on his Livestream channel. It was my first time broadcasting something live and I was very nervous even though I didn't talk much but we had loads of fun! People were crowding Ravenwood 5 hours before the Ball even started! It was crazy! We also tried to make a dance line around Bartleby but we ended up turning into Krokomummies and having a giant race around him instead. All you could hear is all four of laughing in the beginning. Later in the evening we were joined by a bunch of other wizards including Christina Icedreamer, Fallon, Stephen Spiritcaller, Ronan Dawn, and Cassandra Hexthorn. I might be missing a few wizards.

In the Twitter Sphere we had something called the WAC. Eventually we had something called WAC_alerts where other wizards can call for help if they needed it. However, some wizards misused this and that eventually led to the birth of W101Moments! W101Moments is basically funny quotes and moments that happen everyday on the family online game of Wizard101. It was a very good idea and it kept some wizards sane with a chuckle here and there. I always love seeing when other people come up with #Wizard101Moments and I like getting a chuckle out of them. I'll soon be updating the W101Moments blog with pictures and videos of Wizard101 so look out for those! One day I'd like to pass on W101Moments to someone who can come up with better moments because right now.. I've got nothing. I hope it's just writers block but when the day comes that I have to pass it on I'll just have to.

Now it's time for Zafaria! This is, without a doubt, my favorite world. It's exotic, it's strange, and it's magical. With continuing the story of Morganthe as she tries to receive her Deck of Shadows! I have completed Zafaria on both Balance and Ice and have gotten Chimera and Wolly Mammoth. I was helped by the many helpful wizards of KT even though they kept making fun of poor Chico. You can see Paige's ostrich laying an egg. Zafaria was a fun experience and very challenging and can't wait to see what Kingsisle has in store for us in the next few years!

It's been three long years since I have joined this great game and I'm hoping for three more years. I've met a lot of great people and I'm grateful to each and every wizard I have come in contact with in the past three years and I want to thank all of you for putting up with me for this long. If you've read this far then I think you deserve something special:

Dashing through Mooshu,
On a clanking Chrismoose mount.
O'er the village we go,
Look how big it's snout!

Bells on it's antlers right,
Making wizards laugh.
What fun it is to ride and sing
on a ChrisMoose mount tonight!
