A Needed Update

Hey guys! Sorry about not posting much of anything for the past few weeks/months. I have been very busy with Finals and such. Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know what I have been doing for the past couple months.

Bienvenue à SorcelleVille! I tried Wizard101 France and let me tell you it was awesome! I knew only half of what they were saying to me, but still. I had lots of fun in W101(FR) even looking at all the name changes was fun. Wizard City was called SorcelleVille and Marleybone was something so outrageous that I can't even remember right now lol. My name on Wizard101 France was Cyprien Sage. No idea what that means, but it sounds cool. The voice acting was done nicely and I really enjoyed myself. I should of taken pictures of the spell cards because their names were odd too. I recommended to the die hard Wizard101 fan to check out Wizard101 in another language it really changes your views and it's also a great way to learn another language. Go on a try it out! Here is the Link and scroll down to the bottom where it says International Players and check out the other versions of Wizard101!

The Myth Wizard Returns! Dun dun dun! I decided to do something I thought I would never do, to *gulp* quest on my myth wizard, Mark Giantcaller. My myth wizard was locked at level 49 for almost two years. Yep TWO years. I think I can hear all the myth wizards already forming a mob right outside my house. I really wanted Basilisk so I logged into my myth wizard and dusted off the cobwebs and dust, and I was in the middle of Dragonspyre. "Oh great," I said with boredom seeping in as Dragonspyre was my least favorite world to quest in until a beacon of shining hope and amusement pierced right through. I found out that my friends and family were questing through an area that was near mine. After a few gasps of surprise that I was questing on my myth, they let me into their questing group and now my myth wizard is happily sitting at Legendary status. I think I would have once again gave up on my myth wizard if it weren't for them. I won't say any names, but they know who they are because of one occasion that THIS happened:

Our makeshift Balance wizard was very tired and did not know the difference between the myth and fire wizard. We still love our balance wizard though! This is also when I got introduced to the elusive "Fairy Moo Wizard" a rare beast indeed. Afterwards I logged onto my Ice and did some PvP with some very good friends and I just had to share this screenshot with you guys since it cracked us up. We all chose these cards at the same time it was hilarious.

The nerve of someone people to call me Mr. Breeze. I felt like I was the the Febreeze equivalent of Mr. Clean lol.

Avalon Awaits You! Questing in Avalon has been so much fun! I love the medieval feel of it all. I especially love the Lady of the Lake. She's powerful, mysterious, cunning, and pretty. What's not to like? I really liked this part of Avalon when my name appears on the Stele of Nicole. I'm guessing Nicole is the mermaid's name. My other favorite character is Old Green Beard, he looks like a humanoid version of Bartleby. He's HUGE and funny sometimes. Well, I thought so...

I had no idea Weirwood was in Avalon. I thought it was going to be a completely different world filled with Fairies, unicorns, and imps, but no. We learned a lot from Avalon. We learned where most of the creatures come from and that Falmea was probably from Avalon as well. I also want the Winter Wyrm to be a pet or mount. It's just too cool to not be a mount or something! I also did not enjoy being constantly hit with Basilisks left and right.

W101Moments & P101Moments. No, I have not forgotten them, in fact, I've been working on them quite a lot. I've been working on new pictures, backgrounds, avatars, and content for them and planning to update them during the summer. Pirate101Moments will be full speed ahead when the game actually comes out, but I have been reading all of the Pirate101 blogs and have added a few of them to the blogroll over at P101Moments. W101Moments will still be active and there will be more quotes, memes, and funny moments coming your way so stay tuned!

Yep, it's that time of year again. Some day in the summer you can explore the Dragon Palace and all its wonders. I haven't decided on what day yet, but I'll let you know!  Last year was a great turn out and lost of wizards showed up to explore the palace and were hunting for the items hidden throughout this house. Here is a sneak peak of the house if you've never been here before, but I warn you that some things have changed around the house ;). My Spiral Mission: Protector of the Lore [Chapter 21]

Hard Goodbyes

“Will that be all?” asked the cow at the counter before waving a fan in her face from the heat wave hitting Mooshu.

“Yea, thank you,” Jeremy answered and picked up the bag of ice cold drink and snacks. After going through the portal he hid in a friend’s house in Mooshu for about a day before he got asked to pick up some snacks and drinks. He gave another thank you and walked out of the shop to be hit with a wave of more heat from the outside. To say it was scorching would be an understatement. You might be able to make popcorn on the ground. Everyone in the Jade Palace market was sitting at their porch with a glass of ice water in hand or waving fans. He bowed slightly to a few of the residents he knew and some waved to him back.

He knew that running away wasn’t the right thing to do, but he felt that he needed to get away, you know, for a while. He just couldn’t take it anymore. His friend just turned evil, the person he trusted the most has been lying to him his whole life, he just realized that he’s this big important Life Hatake, and to top it all he has a giant forest spirit inside of him that’s trying to take over! He ran his hand through his hair to check if the horns were still there.

“Yup,” he sighed. If he didn’t know any better he would say that he looked like a Satyr, without the goat legs of course.

When he was about to turn to Kishibe Village the vegetation around him started freezing and the air started getting cold. He shivered and he could see his breath. He looked back, but saw nothing and the air just got colder. He knew this was bad so he ran to the door to enter Kishibe Village but it was covered in a block of ice. He tried to break it, but no matter how hard he tried it wouldn’t even scratch.

“Having trouble, Jeremy?” He turned around and found Matt leaning against the tree with a smirk on his face. Jeremy quickly got out his wand and awkwardly pointed it at Matt.

“S-stay away from me,” he said while trying not to sound like he was afraid and not be shaking as much.

“Or what? You’re going to throw that stick you call a wand at me?” Matt chuckled. Jeremy gripped his wand tighter and glared at Matt.

“What do you want?” He questioned Matt.

“You.”

“Excuse me?”

“Well, not you, per se. We want the power that’s inside you,” Matt responded.

“You mean the forest spirit? You can have it!”

“No, we couldn’t care less about Lord Raidon. We want the power of the Life Hatake, and it’s not that simple,” Matt chuckled and gave a superior smirk.

“Look at the mighty Life Hatake. Cowering in fear.” Jeremy’s glare intensified and you could see his canines growing and sticking out of his mouth.

“We’ll see who’s cowering,” Jeremy growled with a strange deeper voice and his eyes glowed a bright green color. Matt stepped forward, but in a blink of an eye Jeremy was in front of him and swiped his hands that grew claws and Matt barely dodged it, receiving a scratch to his shirt. Matt looked at Jeremy to find that Jeremy had a blank look in his eyes. So that’s it.

“That beast is controlling you,” he yelled at Jeremy. Jeremy let out a grunt and lunged at Matt, but as a he was going to punch him, Matt exploded into snowflakes. Matt reappeared behind a tree not too far away, he’s fast, he thought. He took a breath and jumped away as Jeremy sliced through the tree.

“You’re going to have to do better than that.” Matt knew he had to get Jeremy away from the civilians that were likely to show up from all the commotion. Matt stopped in his tracks as shadow creatures started surrounding him. Jeremy landed a few feet away from Matt and he left a minor crater. More shadow creatures started surrounding them, No not now. Matt took a deep breath and punched the ground sending huge ice shards up from the ground encasing the creatures in it. When he turned around he saw Jeremy breathing hard on all fours and trembling.

“Why… why did you do… do that?” He said out of breath, obviously drained from using Lord Raidon’s powers. Matt didn’t answer he just watched as Jeremy collapsed on the ground completely exhausted. He went over to him and picked him up and put him over his shoulder.

“I’m sorry…” Matt apologized and teleported away.

“Don’t worry. We’ll find him,” Fallon assured Angel as they all say down in the council room.

“I hope so,” Angel said to her.

“We will,” Alric began, “I also found something very interesting that you all should know.” Alric pulled out a giant old book, it magically opened, and started flipping through pages with dust flying out until it stopped on a certain page. The others were watching intently as Alric was searching the page with his finger until he looked up and cleared his throat. “You see, I found this book in the section of our library that Angel was in charge of,” he stopped and looked at Angel along with the others. Angel slinked down in his chair a little and asked Alric to keep going. “Anyways, I figured out why RettSej has such a tight hold on the Death Hatake. According to this book, each Hatake has a special power that his unlocked when they master full control of their powers. In the case of the Death Hatake, it is the most dangerous one. It’s called “The Reaper’s Touch”. What it does is it takes the soul of another to fuel the caster and increase their power. In other words-”

“Certain death,” Kevin said.

“Correct,” Alric began again. “To think that someone could have so much power… Why did you keep this kind of information from us Angel?” Angel lifted his head up and extended his hand out and the book flew to his hand.

“It’s one of the secrets that Grandmother Raven trusted me with and I wrote it in this book so I would never forget the dangers of being me,” he sighed. “This book contains all of the information of the Hatakes. You may have noticed that what you just read was the only page with ink on it. Well, that was because I put a protection spell on this book, but I forgot to put it back on when I was reading it yesterday.”

“Don’t you trust us Angel?” Heather asked.

“I trust you guys, I do. It’s me that I don’t trust,” he began. “If you really want to know what I’ve up to I’ve been studying up and researching a few things and I found out what the Death Hatake wants, but it has to wait after we find Jeremy.” Angel stood up, nodded, and walked out of the room with the book in his hands.
_________________________________________________________________

His head hurt again, more than before. He opened his eyes, his vision was blurry, but he could make out flames or torches on the wall. He moved his hands to rub his eyes but he couldn’t. He blinked again and looked down to see that he was tied to a chair. He struggled to get out trying to squeeze his hands out but they wouldn’t go. He heard footsteps coming and tried harder while the footsteps got louder until the footsteps stopped and Jeremy looked up to see Blaze Titanthorn smirking evilly at him with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

“Look at the mighty Life Hatake… Oh, how you’ve fallen,” Blaze taunted walking closer to Jeremy.

“Let me go!” Jeremy yelled. Blaze chuckled and started circling around Jeremy.

“I’m afraid I can’t do that.”

“Why? What do you want?”

“I think it’s pretty clear what I want. I want to pull out that ancient power right out of your body. I couldn’t last time because that blasted mut you have inside of you was blocking my magic, and that accursed Angel showed up.”

“Angel?”

“Oh yes, the former Ice Hatake. The fool didn’t even know that his own grandson was working against him,” Blaze chuckled. “That doesn’t matter anymore. I have you now.” He pulled out one of Jeremy’s hairs and you could hear Jeremy scream out in pain. “Hmm, seems your head is a little sensitive because of your horns. Nice set of dog teeth by the way.” Blaze laughed evilly. Jeremy used his tongue to feel his teeth until he felt a something sharp which were his new set of teeth.

“Blaze, you said you weren’t going to torture him.” Matt walked in from the same way Blaze came from.

“I was just having a little fun before we extract the power out of him,” Blaze explained to Matt.

“Yeah, well, before that you need to keep up with your end of the deal,” Matt warned Blaze. Blaze’s face went stoic with a slight frown and walked towards Matt.

“I was thinking of doing that after we have his powers...”

“No. The deal was that when I captured Jeremy that you would revive my parents. A deal is a deal.”

“Hn. And if I don’t? What can you do to me?” Blaze questioned Matt. Matt remained stoic watching Blaze’s every move. “Exactly. Nothing.” Matt’s eyes started glowing light blue slightly until Blaze slammed him on the ground. “You better learn your place, or else.”

Matt opened his eyes to reveal white eyes with a hint of blue. “Or else what?” he growled at Blaze and pushed him off of him.

“Or else Jeremy dies, right here,” Blaze pulled up to reveal that his hand has transformed to that of a skeleton with a dark aura surrounding it. Blaze’s eyes went into a deathly glare towards Matt.

“The Reaper’s Touch… you wouldn’t,” Matt gasped.

“Try me.” They both stood idle for a while staring each other down until they heard a large crash coming from above. While Blaze was distracted, Matt casted a couple of huge ice shards which separated Jeremy from Blaze and cut the ropes that tied him to the chair. Jeremy jumped out and joined Matt’s side.

“You ok?” Matt asked while rocks were coming down from the ceiling.

“Yea, just really confused,” Jeremy answered him. They turned around to find shadow creatures helping Blaze up.

“You’ll wish you never did that, Matthew,” Blaze warned him.

“I’m not scared of you Blaze,” Matt countered him. Blaze chuckled and an intense dark aura surrounded Blaze.

“Well, you should be,” he lunged towards Matt, but Matt quickly used an ice wall blocking his path. “How resourceful, but let’s see if you can block this.” Blaze put his hands in front of him and started putting the energy around him into a sphere like form. Matt did the same and both of their sphere like magic started growing bigger and bigger and looked more like an enlarged beach ball. Matt took his in one hand and threw it at Blaze first and seconds later Blaze, using his two hands, did the same. Matt sensing that this wouldn’t end well, he used an ice wall to protect him and Jeremy. When the two masses of energy collided it created a huge explosion that broke the shield Matt has created and sent the trio flying out and away from the underground layer. Matt with his quick thinking created a pile of soft snow for them to land on. The landing still hurt, but not as much as it would if it wasn’t for the snow. Jeremy sat up and thanked Matt and looked around where they landed. It was a barren land filled with dead plants and bones everywhere. There were a couple of dead trees around and some leaves on the ground.

“What is this place?” Jeremy asked.

“This is where my grandpa and his friends defeated Morganthe. They left it in good shape, didn’t they? Matt joked.

“Funny time for a joke isn’t it,” they turned around to find Blaze walking out of the smoke unharmed. His eyes completely blacked out while his pupil was blood red. Matt quickly stood up and got in a fighting position.

“Jeremy, run,” Matt ordered him. Jeremy got up and stood next to Matt.

“No I’m fighting with you,” Jeremy said while he got into a fighting position.

“Fools… Then you’ll both end your journey here!” Blaze jumped up, grew wraith wings, and flew fast towards them. Matt didn’t know what to do until he pushed Jeremy aside and braced himself.

“Matt!” Angel yelled after him. He saw Matt turn his head slightly towards him and he could hear just a faint ‘I’m sorry’ before Blaze crashed into him and a bright light was released. Jeremy and Angel shielded their eyes from the light and when the light finally dimmed they saw Blaze standing over Matt. Angel quickly ran towards them and so did Jeremy, but Angel stopped when he saw the lifeless look in Matt’s eyes. When Jeremy got near enough he heard Blaze talking to himself.

“It’s ok, there’s another one,” Blaze said and looked directly at Angel before he dissipated in a black smoke. Jeremy ran until he crashed on his knees next to Matt’s body and was shaking him so Matt could wake up.

“Come on Matt. Wake up,” he cried. “Come on! You’re stronger than this! Wake up!” he cried louder. “Matt don’t do this! You can’t lose! Not to him! Wake up!” Tears started running down his face and he slammed his fist on Matt’s chest.
“Please…” he whispered. “You can’t…”

Angel looked on sadly, guilt reaching him because he was too late and he put his head down in shame while he heard Jeremy’s sobs. Angel picked up his head when he felt the wind pick up and he saw the all the leaves traveling towards Jeremy.

“Oh no,” Angel whispered, “Jeremy!” Angel tried to get closer but the wind got stronger pushing him away while the leaves started surrounding and circling around Jeremy and Jeremy was emitting a bright green light.

“Angel!” Cassandra Dragonheart yelled as the rest of the council was arriving at the scene. “What’s going on?!” She asked.

“It’s Lord Raidon. Jeremy’s anger and sadness made his defenses go down and now Lord Raidon is trying to take over.” Angel informed them.
More and more leaves started surrounding Jeremy until you can only see rays of bright green light shooting out of the sphere of leaves. Then there was blast coming from the leaves that pushed the rest of the wizards back. They heard and animalistic ground and a large furred foot stepped out of the sphere of leaves. Then the whole body of a fully grown Forest Lord stepped out with bright green glowing eyes.

“It’s too late,” Autumn Fire blade said sadly.

“No, I won’t give up that easily,” Angel said. Angel stepped closer but then the ground started shaking. The grand beast raised his hands and two huge trees erupted from the ground next to it. He then growled again while he absorbed some energy into its hands and gave a final loud roar until he got into an attack position.

“We need to hold him down!” Angel yelled. “Cass, can you entangle him?” Cass nodded and went forward and waved her hands in a style that he was taught and vines emerged from the ground and tangling themselves on the giant forest lord. The giant beast growled and tore him arm from the vines and started ripping them off of himself. “Katherine?”

“I’m on it,” she informed him and did the same thing that Cass did and more vines emerged from the ground and entangling him. This time with both of them they tied him down enough that he couldn’t rip them off but they still had trouble. Ronan and Alric went forward and stood on either side of the beast and conjured up the spiritual chains and wrapped them around the beast leaving him immobile.

“Autumn, can you do a fire circle around him?” Angel asked. Autumn concentrated and jumped up and blew fire out of her mouth in a circle which surrounded them and jumped back down with a slight smile. “Perfect.” Angel ran and jumped on a rock and, with the powers of being the Ice Hatake, he controlled the wind and flew up the head of the great beast. He looked it in the eyes, and sighed before he placed his palm in the middle of forehead and chanted a secret spell and in a blink of an eye the great beast turned back into Jeremy, without the horns or sharp teeth. Angel caught him before he landed on the ground and flew back where the ground went. However, Jeremy woke up quick and squired out of Angel’s arms before he looked at each of the council members and took out of his pockets the portable teleporter Alric used on him and he transported out of there.

“What do we do now?” Kevin asked.

“We wait. Jeremy isn’t in any danger after what just happened,” Angel informed them.

“How do you know?” Fallon asked.

“The Reaper’s Touch can only be used once every 72 hours. Jeremy just needs some time to think,” with that Angel turned around and headed back to the Twi-star Observatory.

Author's note: What do you guys think? I hope it was unexpected. Anyways, I've been working on a separate site for this story with character bios, setting, a glossary, and much more to make it easier for you to read it. I might release it after I'm done writing the last chapter which has more surprises I promise! Until next time!

The Wizard101 Community

I've noticed that I haven't been posting actual "blog posts" in awhile, just chapters of my story. Well, I want to change that. Starting now I want to do more blog posts instead of just chapters or housing parties. I think it's time I've shared my opinion on things since isn't that what blog posts are about? I think I'll start on the topic of the Wizard101 Community. Pros, cons, and everything in between. If you don't agree with my views leave a comment or if you have something you want to add do that too. I'll try to keep this blog post as brief and short as possible but I make no promises as I'm just typing and as the thoughts appear in my head because I feel that's when people get their true intentions across and they don't have to edit on what they say.

First, what is the wizard101 community? I entered this community August 2009. I had no idea what it was or what I was supposed to do. So, I just did everything that caught my eye. I still do that today. When I first started out many people didn't know who I was and some didn't like me because I was new to the outside world of wizard101 and I was ok with that. I wasn't going to force them to like me or do things my way. I'm just not like that.  Sure, I have bad days when all I want to do is turn off my friends list so housing or PvP. Or when I have a headache, or just plain exhausted when I come out rude but I really don't mean it. Most of the wizards that know me, know that I'm pretty easy going and have an open mind about almost everything. Anyways, back on to the community. This community is one of the best gaming communities I have seen. Why is that? Well, almost everyone is open minded, friendly, respectful, and the fact that everyone is differnt and not mindless followers makes it a fun community. I'm not talking about just Twitter, or Central, or Youtube. I'm talking about the ENTIRE Wizard101 Community outside the actual game as a whole. It's wonderful how you can post that you need help and seconds later another wizards responds saying they would be glad to help you on your quest or to farm for gear. It's a great feeling when you write a guide or a post that helps several people understand the game better. It's awesome when you host a party and you make new friends and PvP all night long! That's what I see the Wizard101 Community as.

However, too much of a good thing is a bad thing. I know this topic isn't one that I should bring up, but I feel as if I have to. It wouldn't be right if I just talked about the good things and not the bad ones. First of all, nobody is perfect, that's true. I've had my arguments with a fair share of wizards who only wanted fame, and free stuff. No, we weren't yelling at each other. It was a reasonable conversation, and no feelings were hurt in the end. Feeling as if you HAVE to receive an item from someone else just because you did a few things here and there is not right. The one's who receive the items either earned them or won in a contest. That's as far as I'm going into that topic of feeling that you deserve an item.

Anyways, the next thing is hating/bullying. I know this is a very sensitive topic, but this needs to be said. I've seen some bullying being done and frankly I do not like it. Sure, you can post whatever you want on a social network but attacking others and swearing at the top of your lungs is not right, and much less "cool". No one should have to be put down by anyone. I don't care who you are, you don't have the right to make other people feel worthless. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." If you feel that someone is attack or threatening you just block them and continue on your merry way. Trying to find a sense of justice is not the road to take. I know some don't role that way because that's not the way they've been raised but trust me, "if you fight fire with fire both of you are going to get burned". If you feel that you can have a sophisticated conversation with said person then take it to private messages and solve the problem there. No one wants to see two wizards from a good community fight or a whole group of wizards battling it out on a forum/social network. What's worse is when you gang up on someone that they thought was right. If they were just trying to express what they think is right then don't try to change that. Unless it is against the rules of KingsIsle or against the Law then leave them be. However, if you are on another site owned by someone else you have to abide by their rules. If you want to use the resources of another wizard's site then you must follow their rules. Simple as that. They do not have to give you important info or let you enter their contests if you don't follow the rules.

My last and final point of the cons of the Wizard101 Community is when wizards throw up the "I Quit!" flag. Again, I have no intention of offending anyone, just the things that I have noticed. When someone throws up the "I Quit!" flag it sends alarms throughout the entire circle of whatever site you are using. Sure, when time is good and ready people need to quit playing Wizard101 to get back to their real lives, I get that. What I don't get is when wizards are having a hard time and just suddenly quitting because of it. Then, a few days later they are back. They caused a bunch of hullabaloo for nothing. It bothers me to see people cause such ruckus and return back with praises and open arm when all they really wanted is pity and attention. Again, not trying to offend anyone, just speaking in general throughout the community as a whole. But, if I don't say it, who will?

Anyways, enough with the negatives. I think it's time to focus on the future of the Wizard101 community. What I want to see in the future is one big happy wizard family. Where EVERYONE is connected and not separated and hating on other fan sites. Like Abraham Lincoln said: "A house divided against itself cannot stand". That is what we should follow. Competition is healthy, but once it gets to our head that's when you have to step back and think about what you're doing. I recently joined The Petnome Team, but I still am an avid poster on Wizard101 Central, a frequent tweeter on Twitter, and support the Wizard101 videos on Youtube that aren't about hacking or cheating the game. I know most of you do the same. Why not just stop the fighting and join together and form one community? I don't mean go all on one site. No, that won't help at all. What I mean is for us wizards to support each other on whatever we do as long as it goes with the game rules and the rules of the fan sites when we are on them. I guess that it might be awhile for this to come true, but never lose hope right?

Thanks for reading this pretty long post and I hope I didn't waste much of your time. This is a great wizard101 community, and for those who say otherwise have no idea what they are talking about.

My Spiral Mission: Protector of the Lore [Chapter 20]

The Truth

*Previously*

“Angel, you’ve got to learn to let them handle things. How are they going to learn about what it takes to be a Hatake if you keep babying them and holding their hand through everything?” Cassandra Dragonheart chimed in. Angel slowly put down his bag and stared at the ground thinking how he has treated them about the whole thing. Heck, even Jeremy doesn’t know that he is the Life Hatake. How will he explain that to him?

“I guess you’re right…” Angel sighed.

“Good. Now let’s get you some popcorn and maybe some ugly muffins?” Hexythorn suggested.

“Yeah, I’d like that,” Angel nodded and grinned.

“Ok. Now let’s head to the council room. We have a meeting with RettSej,” Autumn informed him. Angel nodded and they walked towards the council room. Once they entered the council room they saw that all the other council members were there. They sat down in their respected seats and looked at each other. Kevin cleared his throat and entered the key code to start the conversation with RettSej. The hologram flickered and RettSej’s image appeared in the middle of the table.

“I was waiting for your call,” RettSej stated clearly not pleased by the wait.

“Sorry, I just got here,” Angel apologized.
RettSej grunted and continued, “Angel already told me what happened at the Arena. Is there any information that could help us figure out how to capture the ones who hired the generals?”

“If I may,” Angel began, “I would like the files on the current Hatakes and their locations that Central city has.”

“Absolutely not,”RettSej denied.

“But, with that information we could possibly inform them on the situation that has happened and maybe whatever is happening with the shadows could also be linked to whoever is after the Hatakes,” Angel argued.

“That information is confidential. The identity and location of the current Hatakes is very sensitive information.”

“Fine. I only wanted to know about one,” Angel replied.

“Which one would that be?” RettSej asked.

“The only one strong enough to summon several minions like Malistaire, and is strong enough to control Astral Magic like Morganthe,” Angel answered, “the Death Hatake.”

“You can’t possible think that a Hatake is behind this. Why would they come after their own?” RettSej questioned.

“I know it doesn’t make much sense, but the Death Hatake is the only one capable of doing all this when you think about it.”

“Angel, are you sure?” Kevin asked. The others quickly looked at Angel. Angel sighed and answered ‘yes’. RettSej cleared his throat and ordered Aivil to fetch him the Death Hatake’s file. Aivil came back almost a minute later and handed a silver and black file to RettSej. He opened it and started reading it.

“His name is Blaze Titanthorn. It says he excels in strategizing, and team work. However, according to our files it doesn’t look like he is the leadership type for large scale missions,” RettSej summarized from the file, “which makes it even less likely that he is behind this.”

“Does it say anything else?” Angel asked.

“Only that he trained in Colossal before Astral magic was banned,”RettSej answered. Angel looked towards the rest of the council showing worry all over his face. “Is there something wrong?” RettSej questioned.

“Yes, there is… During our investigations we found that the Life Hatake was attacked with a poison spell that was enchanted with Colossal…” Autumn answered There was a long pause until Angel stood up and made his way towards the exit.

“Where are you going?” Katherine asked. Angel looked back while a freezing chill was being released through every cell of his body.

“They’re in trouble. I can sense it,” with that he left the room. The others looked at one another.

“I’m going too. If Matt and Jeremy are in trouble that means so is Alric,” Alura stood up and made her way to the exit but stopped and turned towards Katherine. “Kat, can you join us? We might need a healer.”

“Sure,” Katherine Light answered, and followed Alura and Angel to where Matt and Jeremy’s “mission” was located.

He felt pain all over his body. He opened his eyes and was staring at a ceiling. The same ceiling from the first time he woke up here. He knew he was in the infirmary. He looked towards the left and he could see a wizard working on some medicine. He tried to sit only to find that his whole body was sore and he hissed loud enough that only the other wizard heard.

“No, no. Jeremy, you need to rest.” Diana Wildheart gently pushed Jeremy so he was lying down again.

“What happened?” He asked in a soft voice.

“Um… Nothing you need to worry about,” Diana smiled, but he knew that she was faking it so he didn’t press the issue any further. He just looked back at the ceiling before he fell asleep again.

When he woke up again the room was quiet and he didn’t feel any pain. Jeremy sat up without feeling sore and noticed that no one was there anymore. He let out a sigh of relief, and ran a hand through his hair but he felt something hard when he did. He quickly found there were two strange objects, but when he tried to pull it out he couldn’t. He ran to the mirror and tried to separate his hair to get a good look at the things. His eyes widened, and let out a yell when he saw that he had horns growing out of his head. He kept trying to pull the horns out but they wouldn’t budge when Diana walked in and looked directly at him.

“Jeremy you should be resting,” She told him.

“What?... Did you know that I had horns growing out of my head!?” He asked her looking back at the mirror.

“Yes,” She answered.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“The Council told me not to say anything about what happened in Zafaria..”

“Zafaria?” Jeremy questioned. Then, all of the events that happened flashed before his eyes. The flower, the boat ride, being attacked by weird looking creatures, Lord Raidon’s tomb, Matt and Blaze… and Alric. “Is professor Ravensinger ok?” He asked her.

“Alric? Yes, he’s fine. Angel, Katherine, and Alura brought both of you here, but his injuries weren’t as severe.” Jeremy thought it over and sighed.

“Guess I’ll just go back to sleep…” He went to his bed to lie down on his side facing away from Diana and he waited. It must have been an hour or so before Diana finally left. He quickly got up and searched the wardrobe for something to cover him up so no one recognized him. He found a dark green cloak and put it on. He opened the door and peeked out making sure no one was outside, and then Jeremy walked towards the main building at the Twi-star observatory as normal as possible. He needed some questions answered and he knew that the council could give him the answers he wanted. He entered the building and noticed something he hadn’t before. There were four hallways all going in a different directions and he didn’t even know which one the council room was in. He just tried his luck with one of them and started walking.

It must have felt like forever before he spotted Angel talking with Diana a few yards away. He didn’t look happy as Diana was telling him something. He heard Angel give a thank you and he started walking away. Jeremy decided to follow Angel since he knew he was in the council. Finally Angel entered a room and Jeremy almost jogged to the two big doors in which Angel just entered. He opened the door just a crack only enough to see the back of Angel’s chair and the face of a wizard that looked familiar sitting on the opposite side of Angel.

“What did Diana say?” He heard a voice say that sounded like Professor Autumn Fireblade.

“She said that Jeremy woke up twice. The second time he noticed the horns,” Angel informed them.

“So, what do we do now?” Alric asked.

“We should tell him the truth,” Fallon said.

“No, not yet,” Angel said to her.

“Angel, he needs to know now more than ever. He needs to know that he is the Life Hatake,” Kevin agreed with the others. Jeremy’s eyes almost popped out of his head, and he was frozen stiff. Me? Life Hatake? That’s… That’s not possible. His mind flashed every event where people were whispering, looking at him, and how some were keeping secrets from him.

“Ok, and how will I explain to him how Lord Raidon’s spirit entered his body?” Angel questioned his friends. WHAT!?! Jeremy went to feel the horns growing out of his head while he remembered the huge bust of a Forest Lord in Lord Raidon’s tomb. Now his heart was racing and his hands were shaking a little trying to keep as quiet as possible.

“We don’t need to tell him that until we know how that happened,” Cassandra Dragonheart answered.

“I’ll look into it. What about Matt…?” Alric asked Angel. Angel looked at him then sighed and answered him.

“I’ll take care of it. In the meantime, we need to be on our guard.  Since I’m no longer a Hatake I can’t be of any use to you all.”

“Angel, don’t say that,” Hexythorn began. “You don’t need to be a Hatake to be of help.” Angel smiled and thanked all of them. Jeremy heard some mumbling from the council about current problems with the popcorn shortage and he turned to the side thinking. It finally made sense to him. That dream that he had about his mother… it wasn’t a dream then.

“Jeremy? Is that you?” He looked up to see Diana walking towards him a few yards away and he heard commotion from inside the room and saw them looking at him. Before he knew it he ran. He ran until he found himself in front of the Spiral door. He looked back only once and saw Angel running towards him before he opened the Spiral door as quick as he could and slammed it shut.

“Do you think he heard?” Fallon asked.

“If he did then we’re in big trouble…” Angel answered her.

He chuckled menacingly and folded his hands behind his head “All is going according to plan…” He looked up to Matt, “Go get him.” Matt nodded and vanished in a puff of smoke and snowflakes.

My Spiral Mission: Protector of the Lore [Chapter 19]

Lord Raidon

“Where are they!?” Angel growled. Sophia and Angel took a while in getting there because they had to stop by RettSej’s office and Aivil insisted on them staying the night just to be safe. He left Sophia with RettSej and took off to the Twi-star observatory early in the morning to catch up with Matt and Jeremy. He knew that Matt and Jeremy were going to Zafaria today since he was the one who set up the mission, but he didn’t know Alric would leave this early. Today was Matt’s and Jeremy’s 16th birthday which means that they will be granted full Hatake powers at noon.

“Angel calm down. They’ll be alright,” Autumn reassured, while Angel started pacing around the room.

“How do you know?” He asked.

“They have Alric there. Plus, they’ll be Hatakes. I don’t think someone would be stupid enough to attack the two of them,” she explained.

“Still doesn’t calm my nerves now that I know someone or something is after the Hatakes. Maybe I should just pop in during their mission to see if they’re alright,” Angel said as he grabbed his packpack and a wand.

“Angel, you’ve got to learn to let them handle things. How are they going to learn about what it takes to be a Hatake if you keep babying them and holding their hand through everything?” Cassandra Dragonheart chimed in. Angel slowly put down and his bag and stared at the ground thinking how he has treated them about the whole thing.

The trio stepped into the Spiral door and into Baobab Crossroads when they were greeted by an old zebra that had blue and red feathers sticking out of his hair and his staff.

“Jambo, wizards. Welcome to Zafaria!” The zebra guy signaled them to follow him down the ramp and to the front of his hut.

“Well, I see that things haven’t changed here since the attacks,” Alric noticed.

“Yes, we pushed back the shadow creatures to another part of Zafaria.  My name is Kweku Morningshine, and I shall be your guide,” Kweku greeted.

“Shadow creatures?” Jeremy questioned.

“Yes, evil creatures with glowing red eyes.  They bring fear even to the strongest of lions,” Kweku shuddered.

“I don’t think it’s good to listen to any more of this. We’d like to speak with The Council of Zafaria about our boat ride to the Drum Jungle,” Alric stated to Kweku.

“Oh… I don’t know about going to the Drum Jungle now. It’s infested with the shadow creatures,” Kweku informed.

“I’d like to speak with them anyway.”

“Very well then, follow me,” Kweku told the group and they headed up the Baobab tree to Baobab Crown. It was packed filled with all the different types of the inhabitants of Zafaria.
Jeremy was looking at each of the species he hasn’t seen before, “Lions, gorillas, zebras..”

“Oh my,” Matt joked. The group walked into the mess of civilians which were arguing with each other about the current state of their home world. They reached four thrones surrounded by a giant bon fire.

“What do we have here? Wizards?” said a lion that was sitting on of the thrones. The crowd went silent while they looked towards the trio. Alric cleared his throat and spoke.

“We’ve been sent on a mission to retrieve a rare herb from the Drum Jungle and would like a boat ride as soon as possible.” The Olyphant that was sitting on the throne started laughing and sat up straight.

“You must be insane if you think you can go to the Drum Jungle. Right now that’s where we are keeping the shadow creatures at bay. No one in the right mind would want to take you there,” the olyphant narrowed his eyes towards Matt and Jeremy who were looking around at all the animals watching them. Alric direct the Olyphant’s attention back to him by throwing a note Angel gave him just in case.

“Look, just give me a boat and I’ll drive it myself,” Alric asserted. He saw how the olyphant’s eyes went wide as he read the note and he closed it in his lap and thought the request over.

“Very well, give these wizards a boat immediately!” They heard whispers in the background and then they subsided.

“Thank you,” Alric turned around and instructed Matt and Jeremy to follow him out of Baobab Crown. They traveled to Baobab market and stood where the docks and several boats were stationed.

“Which one is ours?” Jeremy asked.

“We’ll find out soon,” Alric answered just when a lion not much older than Jeremy ran towards them. He had white face paint and his tail was covered in a blue ribbon.

“Wizards, I shall be your river guide. My name is Hafsa,” Hasfa greeted the trio.

“They sent a young cub?” Alric questioned.

“No, I am full lion now. My father is on the council of Zafaria and he trusts me to take you to Drum Jungle,” Hafsa told Alric. Alric nodded and they boarded a small boat and started heading on their way to the Drum Jungle which they knew would take a few hours. By the middle of their trip both Jeremy and Matt were getting restless and tired. Matt was hanging his head on the side of the boat looking at the water and the scenery of Zafaria when something caught his eye. In the distance next a couple of trees grew a shadowy figure and the energy dissipated to reveal person wearing black robes and a glowing hand in the shape of a sword.

“No, not yet,” Matt whispered as if the person wearing the black robes could hear him. He felt a hand on his shoulder and quickly whipped his head around.

“Hey Matt, are you ok? Who are you talking to?” Jeremy asked. Matt looked back at the trees to find nothing there. Jeremy looked where Matt was, but he couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary either.

“Yeah… I’m fine. I’m just bored,” Matt stood up and walked to the inside cabin of the boat while Hafsa was eyeing him while he was steering. Inside the cabin Alric was inspecting a map and the box that Dr. Austin Kingsisle gave him.

“What’s that?” Matt asked. Alric quickly closed the box and placed it next to him.

“Top secret,” Alric answered. “Hey, are you hungry? It’s going to take another hour to get there.”

“Sure! I’d love something to eat!” Jeremy chimed in while coming in and sitting down across from Alric.

“Um, ok..” Mat sat down next to Jeremy as Alric took out his wand and waved it over the table and there appeared a whole feast. Alric invited Hafsa in and the group at their breakfast and now they were nearing the end of their boat ride. They landed near some huts and Matt and Jeremy went outside the cabin and were waiting for Alric. Hafsa stood and had a few questions to ask Alric.

“Wizard, about the boys,” He began.

“Yes, they are what you think they are,” Alric answered.

“I’m wondering about the one called Matt, he is..”

“Yes, I know. Your judgment isn’t far off from the truth,” with that Alric stepped out of the cabin and jumped off the boat along with Matt and Jeremy. “Thank you Hafsa. I hope you have a safe journey back.” Hafsa waved goodbye as his boat left the dock. The trio continued into the now ruined, abandoned village.

“Well this isn’t creepy at all,” Jeremy commented. Matt and Alric looked at him and chuckled. Alric came by next to Jeremy and patted him on the back.

“Right. Well, I guess we should split up to look for this flower,” Alric told the two boys. “Matt and Jeremy I want you to look to the right of here while I look to the left and I want us to regroup here in about an hour from now, got it?” The two boys nodded and headed in the direction they were told to go. They were walking for what seemed like forever.

“Do you even know what this flower looks like?” Matt asked aggravated.

“Sort of, it’s like white kind of and it’s really pretty, and stuff,” Jeremy tried to answer. “Shouldn’t we be heading back?”

“Nah we still got time. Plus I heard there was an ancient tomb around here.”

“Tomb? Whose tomb?” Jeremy asked.

“The Tomb of Lord Raidon. You know, the first creature created by Mother Rutena. Come on Jeremy you’re life you should know these things!”

“Uh, no thanks I think if we don’t get back soon Alric will be mad.”

“Come on, don’t be such a mander. You aren’t scared, are ya?”

“N-no, I just think we shouldn’t enter someone else’s tomb.”

“It’ll be cool though! Come on!” Jeremy followed otherwise and they walked until there was an opening next to a wall with a cave in it. “I think this is it,” Matt said. Jeremy looked at the giant hole in the rock wall. They stepped in and heard something from behind them. They turned around and saw shadow creatures coming from the bushes and trees. Matt acted quickly and knelt on one knee and placed his hand on the ground creating an ice wall protecting them from the creatures. The shadows started blasting away at the ice wall and hitting the stone wall surrounding the cave which caused it to rumble.

“Uh, M-Matt,” Jeremy said as the rumble grew louder and rocks then boulders started to fall. Soon enough they didn’t need the ice wall to protect them anymore as there were boulders blocking the exit and very dusty wizards sitting on the floor. Suddenly torches started getting lit with a green flame that extended a few yards back. “What the heck.” Jeremy dusted himself off and looked back to Matt to check if he was ok, but instead of finding Matt he found another figure standing next to Matt. The figure looked like a person wearing a black robe and hood that covered his face and he had dark energy surrounding him. Matt got up, dusted himself off, and smirked at Jeremy.

“W-who are you?” Jeremy asked the scary looking person. In response the figure chuckled and reached for his hood.

“I’m surprised you haven’t figured it out yet, Jeremy. Well, not really you were always such a weakling,” The figure took off his hood to reveal black messy hair and piercing grey eyes and the familiar smug look that Jeremy hated.

“B-Blaze? Blaze Titanthorn? What are you doing here?” Jeremy asked now suddenly filled with anger.

“Well, you know enjoying the scenerym and watching my minions wreak havoc around the Spiral,” Blaze let out another chuckle at this.

“You!? You’re the one who’s been causing this whole mess?” Jeremy questioned.

“I didn’t do it alone, of course. I had dear old Matt here to help me get info on all of the Knights and Central city,” Blaze smirked.

“Matt? How could you?” Matt stayed silent as Jeremy was searching for any sign of an answer. When he was about to get an answer Matt was interrupted.

“Shut up,” Matt put his head down finding the floor more interesting. “Capture him so we can bring him with us,” Blaze ordered. Matt nodded and summoned ice cold energy around his hand and shot it at Jeremy. Jeremy winced, waiting for the ice energy to reach him but just as it was nearing him someone flashed in front of him and dissipated the energy.

“Professor?” Jeremy asked as Alric was surrounded in powerful energy with a glare directed towards Blaze and Matt.

“Ravensinger,” Blaze hissed and surrounded himself in Death energy which made him glow.

“Nice to meet you too,” Alric greeted.

“How did you get in here?” Matt questioned him.

“I placed one of Dr. Austin’s new inventions on Jeremy’s robe when we were at the village. It’s a mini teleporter and allows me to teleport to whoever has the mini portal on them. However, you can only teleport to them once every hour. I knew you were up to something Matt,” Alric answered. “Jeremy get out of here and let me handle this,” Alric didn’t leave room for protest as he threw Jeremy down the cave further and instructed him to run. Jeremy nodded and started running deeper into the tomb when he entered the main room. It would be an understatement to say that it was HUGE. The green flames were all around and vines were growing out of the walls and around the statues that were lined against the wall. At the center of the back wall was a huge bust of what looked like to be a giant Forest Lord. The horns were made of gold and the bust was made of a white stone. He neared the bust and rubbed off the dust of plate at the bottom of the bust “His greatest majesty and ruler of all forests, Lord Raidon. Son of her highness, Mother Rutena.”
Then more rumbling occurred and a bell could be heard throughout the entire tomb. The bell was ear splitting but the only ones who heard the bell was Matt and Jeremy who were both now on the floor covering their ears and rolling around trying to stop the loud noise.

“It looks like the transfer of power has begun,” Blaze let out an evil laugh and watched as Matt was suffering from the noise. You could the temperature in the room drop drastically and you could see your breath in the air as the bell noise stopped. Matt, who was breathing hard, trembling, and was attempting to get up. Then, he stood up straight and opened his eyes to reveal piercing light blue eyes that could chill you to the bone. They heard an animalistic growl coming from inside the tomb where Jeremy went and Alric tried to check on him but was stopped when an Ice wall went up blocking him.

“You’re not going anywhere,” Matt growled.

“It seems you are in a pickle, Mr. Ravensinger,” Blaze said with a smug look. “Did you really think you can beat a Hatake, let alone two?” Blaze and Matt stepped closer to the cornered balance wizard. “It’s the end for you.”

“I don’t think so,” Matt and Blaze turned around to find Angel Winterbreeze, Katherine Light, and Alura Hexcaster standing behind them.

“Grandpa…” Matt gasped. Angel didn’t react but continued to glare at both of them.

“Let’s go Matt,” Blaze ordered him.

“But-” Matt tried to protest but was grabbed and pulled into a vortex.

“We’ll meet again.” Blaze warned the group and the disappeared. While Katherine and Alura went to Alric, Angel went straight to the Ice wall and punched right through it and the ice shattered into hundreds of pieces.

“Guess you were right, Alric,” Angel said sadly. He continued to walk down into the tomb following the green glowing light and the animal growls deep into the tomb.
